General :: N7100 - How To Flash Zip Files With Odin
Apr 22, 2014
I removed the OS from my N7100 after I messed up with a kernel. Now im trying to reinstall the cyanogen mod but my computer doesnt recognize the phone, and so my only way of flashing anything to the phone is by using Odin, which only accepts .md5 files. I also have Clockworks Mod Recovery but like I said, my computer doesnt recognize my phone as a device
How can I flash cyanogen mod via Odin? When I download it from the official website its not in .md5 format, it's a .zip.
I have a question about the files being used to flash my Samsung Galaxy S2 via Odin.
I have already seen this link [URL]...
I am trying to flash the PDA, Phone and CSC back all to normal stock. I have downloaded a firmware and I only have one file with a .dll file. The one file I have is named "I9100BOKK1_I9100TMUKK1_I9100BOKJ1_HOME.tar.md 5" I have extracted the files from here also and it contains boot.bin, cache.img, factoryfs.img, hidden.img, modem.bin, param.lfs, Sbl.bin and zImage.
How with these files and Odin do I flash all three parts. I can't see how to use these files on the above link with instructions for flashing and rooting.
I've updated my Galaxy S II to ICS via Odin but wanted to erase my flash history so flashed an old bootloader .tar file, erased the flash history but now want to flash the ICS bootloader back.I've extracted the sbl.bin file but cannot create a tar file that Odin recognises. Have tried using 7zip but Odin locks up when I try and flash it.
I have a Samsung SGH-I897. I was trying to flash from Froyo to GB using odin. I did not root it (I guess I was thinking I didn't need to from stock to another stock fw). It's bricked. I bought a JIG, but nothing happens, just black screen.
I bought my Galaxy Ace S5830i last month. I hadn't installed Samsung Kies until yesterday, when I launched it it prompted a firmware upgrade. First I tried to use kies to upgrade but whenever the upgrade process started (Kies started downloading the firmware files) my device automatically got disconnected..I tried reinstalling kies, restarting my phone but nothing worked.
I then decided to use odin(v1.87) to flash the firmware on my device but it kept failing at first step itself. Here's what it said :-
<ID:0/010> Added!! <OSM> Enter CS for MD5.. <OSM> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable.. <OSM> Please wait.. <OSM> S5830iXXLF3_S5830iODDLF1_RST_S5830iDDLF1_HOME.tar. md5 is valid. <OSM> Checking MD5 finished Sucessfully..
The phone has been working as fine as ever. Kies never got to the step of INSTALLING the new firmware as whenever it started downloading the firmware files my phone got disconnected so no damage there.
With ODIN I entered download mode but here too it fails at the beginning, so I just switch off my phone and restart it and it works as if nothing ever happened (I've made several attempts)
Today itself i downloaded and tried to flash my S DUOS 2 with stock ROM on Odin v1.85. Though it started and was in initial stage( Flashing boot file), i mistakenly DISCONNECTED the device. Now it's not turning ON !!!!
Device : Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 S7582 Firmware : S7582XXUAMK3 ODDAMK1 Odin - v1.85 Mistake - Disconnected the device while it was downloading the firmware. Device Status : Not Switching ON ! , Nothing happens when power key/+ any key is pressed
I have a rather new phone, 2 weeks at most. I have rooted it, and am now trying to get it on odin. We have two bricked phones to work with, Download mode still works with both. I have dumped all partitions in /dev/block.I am working on the OPS file. I found this in the I believe Odin image. I think it's the OPS but I don't know.
here is the lines cleaned up this is the exact order I found it in from the image.
I've read a lot of topics in online and also saw a lot of video tutorial to Flash my Galaxy Y's stock ROM with odin.In Odin,I've selected every file but whenever I click 'Start' button,it shows me this message in message box.
I'm following step by step process to root my gt-s5310 using ODIN 3.07. Started from download mode and connect to the PC is no problem at all. ODIN finished with the GREEN PASS. When I tried to open recovery mode, only android recovery mode is open(but malfunctioning, going no where when I press the home button) that recovery mode also don't has "install zip from sd card" option.
My android version is 4.1.2 . Baseband version S5310DXAME2. Kernel version 3.0.15-1521875 se.infra@SWDA2309#1
Im searching for the kyocera hydro xtrm(metro pcs) system files because I think I only soft bricked my hydro xtrm.. the phone boots up to the android guy with the umbrella buzzes then reboots.. maybe with some system files i could use odin I dont know how to get into recovery on this device.
I am currently trying to repair a soft bricked(stuck in boot loop) Samsung Galaxy S2 (T-Mobile) . I am trying to save the info (contacts,sms,pictures..etc). Would using Odin to flash CWM Recovery and doing a nandroid backup and then restoring the phone to factory settings. Would it somehow save everything in the internal memory and fix the phone?
1. Open up Odin Multi Download 2. Under Select OPS, choose Behold2_partition.ops 3. Click PDA, choose the PDA File you are Trying to Flash Rather it Be BH_MAN Rom / or Stock 4. Power Off Phone 5. Make sure you have it connected via USB 6. Hold and Press Volume Down, OK, Power (the red end button) 7. Phone will say Download Mode 8. Click Start on Odin Multi Downloader. 9. Wait a couple of minutes 10. Stock Touchwiz phone working again!
I'm having a problem with my phone, I've had 2 lines show up at the top of my screen in the past couple of days. They're both multi-coloured and definitely look glitchy. They show up even in boot screens, fastboot, recovery, etc. I thought it might have been a problem with Galax0 that I was running, so I tried to re-flash it with Odin, and Odin seems to finish, but the phone does not actually get flashed. It stays at my previous firmware, with all apps installed, but when it reboots with Odin, the screen doesn't work (except in between the two lines at the top, so I can just see the bar at the top). I pull the battery and reboot, and it works, but is very glitchy.
I ordered Asphalt 8 and i went to Multiplayer mode I found its only playable uaing wifi not the 3G I dont have wifi , and even the 3g is faster than my wifi Is there any way to play asphalt via 3g not wifi ?
I don't understand what is root the phone , flash the phone using ODIN to save battery .

I didn't making too much calling also .
Alright this may have been asked a few times, or maybe it could not of been asked. I just can't find the thread related to answering this question. Okay so my question is, can I flash Galaxo 1.6.2 or GAOSP "without" ODIN flashing or updating my firmware to 1.6? and not then what consequences would occur if I don't flash firmware update before GALAXO 1.6.2 flash. My phone firmware version is I7500ZHJA1 and I believe that is the latest firmware for my region which is still Android 1.5.
is it possible to flash only certain files contained in an APK? For instance if I want to modify a XML file in systemUI.apk, can I just flash that file or do I have to flash the whole systemUI.apk containing the modified file?
folder structure within flashable zip: single file: systemappsystemui.apk esvaluesdrawable.xml
using a virtual machine to flash .kdz files on my android phone. This because i dont have a windows pc and i can't borrow one either. The main goal is to root my LG-P700 v10k ICS 4.0.3 and install a custom rom wich can be done with mobile odin without a pc or mac, correct?
I know Flash 10.1 is technically a browser plugin but has anyone figured out a way to play .FLV files (offline)? Tried opening a .FLV file through Estrongs and then selecting the video option but it would not play
