When i go to the files app and select internal phone storage there is a file there with alot of pics. Is labeled motorolagalleryonlinecache but when I click on them of course it says files are not viewable. Is there a way to log on somehow to see these or an app I can get to see them? If they are photos from my camera or that I've downloaded or just thumbnails of stock motorola pics? I need to ensure they are not "personal" photos.
I'm getting the following error message "Unfortunately Gallery has stopped". In the Apps manager for Gallery, I have already cleared the cache and cleared the data, and also pressed "force stop". I've also restarted the phone. However it's still not working.
I've seen some apps like dolphin browser (not the HD version, the normal one) utilizing a cache-to-sd for webview but i can't seem to figure out how to do this, does anyone know how to do this or point me in the right direction?
Since owning this Razr Maxx HD on Verizon I periodically get notifications about .'Move [AppName] to SD Card.' This notification appeared before I had my external 64GB SD card. It was my impression aOS would not allow movement of apps from where originally installed. And to where one place on the internal card to another?
I have taken over a Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360 from a friend and the on board Ram is insufficient. I have searched and see that it is possible to increase the Ram by using part of the SD card. Apparently, the phone needs to be rooted first.
So I downloaded this universal root piece of software, but it sits in the download folder on the SD card....sd/download...

I have a rooted HTC Desire HD with a custom ROM (Android RevolutionHD).
I have heard a lot of about moving the apps to the SD card to save space in the memory's phone, but does it really usefull apart of "saving memory"? or it can make slower the phone's boot because loading apps from the sd?
Need to know more about advantages and disadvantages of moving apps to the SD.
My priority is a faster / smoother phone UI and boot, being the memory space not so important.
I got a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7" and I'm trying to move my apps to SD card as my internal memory is almost full. I've tried some apps from Google play but none of them work with me. In settings/application manager there's isn't the option to move the app to external storage.
I have an android tablet and I downloaded this app called Clean Master and it has an option to move some of my other installed apps to SD card (I only have the regular internal SD card) and I was wondering what benefit this would be if any?
I have a Galazy S4 and also have a 32GB Micro SD card for music and pictures. I was able to store my game apps and other apps onto the SD card so I didnt use up all my space. Since the update, I can't store any games onto the app. The games do have the toggle button that says Move to SD Card, when I do it comes up with a Unable to move app.
i'm using RC's GingerXtreme ROM with Rage kernel. my device is LWW. unlock BL.my question is, why i can't move some application to sd card. it say, "Failed move application". i use link2sd, still cant move.
A friend of mine wanted to buy the HTC Desire 310 and so I did a little research. On amazon I read from several people that it is impossible to move apps to the SD card. Is this true? If yes, the option to put in an SD card up to 64GB wouldn't make much sense (only for media), would it?
It's not a problem really, but I just don't know what it is.Isn't link2SD supposed to move the apps to my second partition on the SD card ?
Well it does move them successfully, because in Settings ==> Apps I have NOW a lot of space free.Take a look at this screenshot below. All the apps are in data/app and not on sd card, what is happening "behind the scenes".
In cm roms, dalvik cache of system apps are generated in /cache but those data/apps are generated in /data. Is there any way to disable this behaviour? Cache partition in our phones is too small. In AOSP and AOKP and stock roms, dalvik cache is always generated in /data no matter whether its a system app. any way to achieve this in cm roms?
I'm running android 2.2 froyo. I have installed Facebook and twitter on my phone and when I try to move them to the SD card I can't. To do this I'm using avast! Mobile security and it has an option to do so. The button "move to SD card" is blacked out for Facebook, twitter and steam. Is there anyway I can get these on my SD card? I have very little internal memory so every megabite counts.
My problem is that when I install any app from google play, it installs on internal storage. If I want to move it to sd card, the only option available is move to phone storage. I have selected SD Card as default write disk.
Recently got my first smartphone and having trouble figuring things out. Im using a Droid Razr. How do I move the pictures from the internal storage to the sd card? And how do I make them save to the card when I take pics instead of to the internal storage?
I rooted my kyocera hydro edge on boost mobile (4.1.2 jellybean) with framaroot 1.6.1 following the instructions and everything went fine. SuperSu updated after installation. I am trying to move applications to the sd card. I downloaded FolderMount (and a number of other apps that claim to move apps2SD but don't work) and FolderMount only sees what is on the SD Card, not internal storage. How can I move apps to my SD Card?
