I purchased a nexus5 off of some guy that was selling one in my local area. The phone was in the original box and I was pumped at getting one for a bit cheaper than they are on the play store. Although this last week it randomly could not connect to the network, so I called Telus (my Canadian provider) and after a half hour of troubleshooting they told me that the IMEI is blacklisted as a lost or stolen device? Is there anyway I can change the IMIE address?

Recently my telephone was stolen and the police need my IMEI number. I never bothered to write it down and don't have the original box, so I wondered whether the IMEI number is stored in ADB or in some other software, since I have done some development for Android.

After update my Optimus L3 got in a "No service" situation. The strange part is that i have signal and im able to access the internet using mobile network (wifi off). After a long research i fugered out that my IMEI was 0 (zero). I finded a lot of solutions to this problem but none of then was compatible with my device or brand.
Its possible to perform this in an Optimus L3? How can i access the Port Settings?
(ultimate solution for several LG devices) Restoring IMEI
1.Connect phone by USB 2.Activate USB debug mode 3.Enter 3845#*920# in dialer if that doesn’t work try 3845#*925# 4.Select Port Settings -> Select CP Image Download 5.A new device should appear at let it install 6.Open Tutty and select serial protocol. Click on open 7.Type AT if response is not OK, change port number (it is possible that when typing you don’t see any letters) 8.Type at%imei, it should display a dummy IMEI 9.Type at%imei=x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x where x,x,x... is your orginal IMEI number (found under the battery of your phone). It should response IMEI WRITE OK 10.Reboot phone
I bought recently my thl W8S, and I was experiencing some troubles with the battery charging (taking 10 hours) and my GPS connection.
So I decided to flash it via CWM. But I'm very new in the flashing and all this stuff. I tried a lot of things to get CWM , even thing I didn't know.
The problem of my IMEI came out atfer I installed this : [URL] ....
The recovery installer apk, I just click on it and when my phone rebooted, I didn't have any access to my SIM management, no more coverage of course.
I tried the *#06# and my 2 IMEI are just marked as "INVALID".
Since yesterday I tried few different operations to get if fixed but nothing is working.
I tried to use the engenering mode (menu CDS, Network information) and send the AT command with the IMEI but I got an error message : AT command is failed to send.
Then I tried to recreate the MP0B_001 file with some tools I downloaded. And I put it in the right folder (/data/nvram/md/NVRAM/NVD_IMEI/MP0B_001) instead of the old file. I reboot my phone, still the same trouble.
I can't find the stock rom to try to flash it with Odin ..

My wife has done a reset on the phone, now the phone is showing invalid imei number on both sim cards. The phone has network connection but cannot make calls. The IMEI numbers are listed under the battery, how can i change the IMEI on the phone so i can make calls again?
I have Galaxy Gio(Running on JellyBread). Is it possible to change IMEI no. Without changing hardware? If yes then how will it change my device(I mean will it cause some problems e.g network operator problems)
recently bought a Note 3 based in a MTK6572 processor, but the signal doesn't work, I've tried many methods to solve it but no one has worked, I don't know what to do. Obviously this happens cause the IMEI is invalid.
I have got an LG Optimus Vu from Korea through DHL but the customs have seized it saying there is no IMEI number provided for the phone.
I managed to convince them to let me play with the phone and checked in Settings, Phone Identity , About screens and all i saw was a serial number. I could not find the IMEI number. Also it is not there on the box. The phone has a sealed battery and microSIM so it is not possible to check the inside also.
I flashed my Verizon Note 2 (SCH-I605) to the SOKP Rom from a Jedi X Rom (v13 I believe). After the flash, I noticed my network was not working. Eventually I found out that the device was registering as a GT-7105. Not sure what went wrong, as the rom was flashed with no errors. I also ensured that my recovery was on the appropriate version (TWRP 184.108.40.206 in this case) and I also did a factory reset. To try and rectify the issue I wiped the phone and tried various other roms. In every one of those cases I found that the phone was constantly roaming. I had checked my network mode and tried switching between Global and LTE/CDMA which did nothing. Being completely out of options, I just installed to a stock rom through Odin (VRAMC3 4.1.2) and let it update via Wifi to 4.3 and still nothing. (I am well aware of the Knox security feature and will address this in a moment)
Here are the different ways I tried to diagnose the issue after this that led nowhere:
1. Made contact with a Tier-2 specialist from Verizon that tried various diagnostic methods and found that my phone was simply not registering on the Verizon network, or ANY other network for that matter.
2. I went to a Verizon store and got my SIM card replaced.
3. I even went to a repair shop to see if the phone possibly had a faulty connection.
I have already verified that the IMEI is correct based on the sticker behind the battery. The PRL is on 15310. The very last thing I tried was entering "getprop" inside a terminal. I'm taking a guess here, but I noticed my ril.serialnumber was all 0s. If I need to root my phone again to try something, I am more than willing to. My phone is out of warranty and not insured, I'm not really concerned about the Knox warranty trigger unless it will render my phone completely unusable.
I'm having the documented problem of no data connection, always on roaming, after flashing to CM 10.1. My prior rom was CleanRom 5.1, and I have several nandroid backups from various roms over the last few months. GS3 (d2vzw) with root and unlocked bootloader.
So the question is... What's the best way to restore IMEI info and get mobile data back?
There are a couple of steps I'm not sure of:
Option 1: Flash a nandroid recovery, backup IMEI using terminal emulator, and then crack-flash away
1. If I restore my phone to a previous backup, is the correct IMEI information included?
2. Also having a problem getting the MD5 sum's to match. Should I flash through ADB instead of clockworkmod? Or use Odin to get back to stock and then re-root? If correct IMEI included with flash back to stock?
3. Assuming I restore a nandroid, the plan was to use "reboot nvbackup" in terminal emulator to save IMEI info.
4. Flash back to CM 10.1.
Option 2: Use IMEI Generator and NV Reader/Writer:
1. Based on this thread: [URL]
2. Problem: The link to the generator tool in the OP is broken (404). I can get the converted IMEI number from an alternative program, but don't know how to format the text file correctly to use with NV Reader/Writer. Any standard format of a dummy IMEI text file?
I installed customROM works fine. then I reverted back to stockROM then IMEI is gone. I tried the Engineering mode thing, I tried multiple IMEI Writers non of them works for me. I always have this error "meta mode entry fail" for some reason I don't know what to do.
