i am using xperia x10i and updated to 2.3.3 after updation my phone is very laggy i have rooted also and using auto killer memory optimizer etc but still the phone is not as smooth as it was before the updation.
Problem is that i have a Xperia X10i and what happens is that it is with battery LOW ! I have de wall charger and the USB Cable, they're both original, and because of LOW Battery is always flashing red as well, after a long time the LED turns green (FlashMode) but is Useless, PC Companion does not install the firmware freezes and then tells me tha sony motor etc failed, Update Service Fails too, says to check if the battery is charged what obviusly isn't, tried flashtool but it always get stuch on some part, maybe its the .ftf tha is corrupted, i don't what place should i downloade FTF's, i downloaded those from sites.
How to change the unlock screen of xperia X10i? Is it possible? I downloaded some apps of unlock screen in playstore and it works but the original unlock screen also appears so it has a dual unlock screen, i tried to select none in secutity lock settings in settings option but it appears again when it comes to unlock the screen..
I downloaded no lock apps but it has a bug.. if it has possible way to change it totally my screen unlock
if i have to try to configure the root of the system,
i am not able enter flash mode in my X10i device i wanted to flash kernel.
I followed all the procedure: 1) by holding back button & plugged in USB cable. 2) my phone got recognized in the flash tool. Got a message stating "Device connected in flash mode" 3) then my device did not stay much longer in flash mode (less then 10 sec). After that it automatically booted to phone charging screen.
below is log generated in flash tool, when i tried to flash the kernel:
26/026/2013 07:26:07 - INFO - Selected kCernel-CM9-v03.ftf 26/026/2013 07:26:07 - INFO - Preparing files for flashing 26/026/2013 07:26:07 - INFO - Please connect your device into flashmode.
Some people keep asking how to downgrade back to 1.6. So I wanted to provide how to do it
Note: This will give you UK Generic R1FA016 firmware
1) Install SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service). You can get it from here: http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/down...-188.8.131.52.exe
2) Run SEUS, follow the prompts. You don't need to update the phone through it, but get the phone ready for updating. This process should install the drivers necessary for the rooting process.
Note: I suggest you keep your USB cable attached to that USB port. Remember which USB port of your computer it's attached to, as changing USB ports can lead to a bit of confusion for the next 2 steps!
3) To check if #2 was successful, click on Start, click Run, and type: regedit In the Registry Editor that pops up, click on Computer, press CTRL+F, and search for this: USBVid_0fce&Pid_adde
After it's finished finding, on the right side you'll see DeviceInstance, then it says REG_SZ, then it says something like USBVid_0fce&Pid_adde5&270d2a78&0&3 You'll need that last bit (in this example: 5&270d2a78&0&3 Yours would probably be different). This is your DeviceID (you'll need it soon!)
Note: You may have multiple of these if you plugged the USB cord into many USB ports on your computer. Each USB port will give a different DeviceID, so if you have more than one DeviceID, you'll have to choose one, and if it doesn't work (you'll find out when you reach #5!) you will have to choose another one.
Alternatively, download the file in the next step and extract it, go to the folder called 1st, and run the DeviceID.jar file. It should give your DeviceID
4) Download this: Download R1FA16 rar or from here: [url] Extract it. In the step1 folder, you'll see a file called DeviceID.txt Open it up, delete whatever's there, and put YOUR DeviceID (that you found from the previous step). Save the file and close notepad.
Note: Make sure there are no extra spaces or lines after/before the DeviceID. The ONLY thing that should be in the file is your DeviceID, NO SPACES/LINES (for example, only this: 5&270d2a78&0&3 [yours will probably be different])
5) Take out the USB cable from your phone (leave it plugged into your computer) Turn your phone OFF. Open up step1.cmd (it's not inside the step1 folder, but outside it), but DON'T PRESS ANYTHING
Now we have to put the phone into flash mode. This is how you do it: Hold the Back button on your phone, and while holding the back button, insert the USB cable into the phone. A green light should come on the phone (like when it's charging or a missed call) Quickly "Press any key to continue..." in the open step1.cmd window.
Let it finish what it's doing. It will say "Press any key to continue..." after it's finished. Until then, DON'T touch anything!
If you get problems in this step, refer to this post:[url]
Here's a helpful video for common java issue: [ROOT/De-Brick Guide] Java Issue 64 bit Fix Walkthrough (Video guide included) - xda-developers
After completion, this will give you a Generic X10i R1FA016 firmware (check it by pressing the left button, go to settings>about phone and at the very bottom under build number) Keep your phone plugged into the USB.
6) Run SEUS to get to the latest firmware (do this before 2.1 is released in the UK if you don't want 2.1)
i already installed a software update software after opening it i m unable to confirm my phone. Can any body tell me the way, how can i confirm my phone, it shows me to switch off the phone unplug the battery n wait for 5 sec. then reinsert then plug the USB n continue holding the power button but it can't detected my phone.
can any body tell me how can i use this application. what is the full procedure?
My phone is not able to communicate with any google server and as a result I cant access the Market, Facebook, Email and other such features which require a google account. It is showing "Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server." This persists since I bought the phone about two weeks ago.
I have done several searches how how to transfer all my message from my nokia 5800 to my SE x10i. i had load of message on my sd from nokia, when i inserted the card and tried to import from sd card, it was telling me nothing to import.
Last night I updated to X10i on the PC Companion. At first I freaked out when I turned by phone back on, but then began to enjoy the new look etc. However, I noticed that browsers and apps DO NOT work (Android Market, Facebook, browser etc) whenever I'm connected to my Wi-Fi at home, but when I turn the Wi-Fi off and let it go to 3G, they all work fine...wtf? My phone was sitting 2 metres away from the signal. It's definitely connected as it has the Wi-Fi logo on the top of the screen, it's just that nothing will load.I'm in Australia and we don't have the 2.1 update yet, so that's out of the question for now.
I am a new member and a relatively new owner of an X10i. Overall I am happy with the phone but I am hoping some can answer a question. When I press the home button (middle one) I get a prompt to select to 'Complete Action using Home or Timescape' This is quite annoying. I want the default action to be Home (not Timescape) but despite ticking the box in the prompt it still pops up this box.
I'm having x10 2.3.3 rooted. and until recently I was able to download from the android market with no problem. But now when I click "download" it show downloading and than it says "can't download due to an Error" but it only happen in 3g mode or GSM. When in Wi-Fi it download normally.
Looking to buy an android tablet such as the tf700, and the only thing holding me back is the browsing experience. Now i had the tf200 on ics and the browser was no where near as smooth. So have things changed at all?
I have an X10i locked. I in error entered a wrong code 5 times and now i have ran out of attempts to unlock the phone or enter any unlock code, Now i have the right code confirmed by 3UK but have no attempts to enter an unlock code.
My X10i fails to install the update, it downloads and starts updating then about 2 seconds later says failed, it does this with PC Companion and SE updater, it does this on win 7 64bit and win xp whats going wrong?
I am using SonyEricsson X10i phone. I have developend an application that just shows the current location of a user. Now the problem is When i turn on my application it just keep searching. It is not showing anything. Even if i try to use built in navigation system it does not work. I have turned on GPS receiver. My firmware version is 1.6 and kernel version is 2.6. I am not sure but i came to know from some resource that 1.6 firmware does not support GPS. Let me know if someone knows the solution.
Originally this was posted in the Velocity ROM thread but I'm sure most Ally ROMs will be able to benefit from these fixes:
The following will enable JIT and tweak your windowsmgr to allow for smoother scrolling. Using ADB pull your build.prop:
abd pull /system/build.prop
add this line to the end of the file: windowsmgr.max_events_per_sec=60
This will enable smoother scrolling.
Next, find the following line to enable jit: #dalvik.vm.execution-mode=int:jit and uncomment it by removing the # before it
Save the file and push back to /system/build.prop
reboot and your phone should be a little more responsive
I was having some permission denied errors when pushing the build.prop back via adb, so here's what i did: (this part is optional, if your phone pushes the build.prop fine, then don't worry about this)
adb shell su mount -t refs -o remount,rw /dev/stl5 /system cd sdcard busybox cp -R build.prop /system mount -t rfs -o remount,ro /dev/stl5 /system sync reboot
**to those having trouble w/ the busybox command, make sure the build.prop is in the sd card, the sd card is not mounted in the computer, and you are in the adb shell of the phone
also, make sure you are cd into /sdcard/ and can see build.prop in the root of your sdcard with ls then try to
busybox cp -R build.prop /system
alternatively if that doesnt work maybe try adb push build.prop /system/build.prop
Tested on Velocity 0.1.1 but may work with other ROMs.
I am working on a application, in which I want to show Image gallery containing full screen images. I have put the gallery in the application successfully. But I am failing to apply some properties to the gallery as per the app design demands. I am using android.widget.Gallery library of android. The things I am failing to do are:
1) I wanna scroll the gallery images one at a time, as now its getting scrolled more than one images in one scroll.
2) And on scrolling the gallery, the images coming next from left/ right should move smothly into the screen and should stop at the screen edges. It should not scroll beyong that in one scroll.
I tired installing the 2.2 update, but as many of us have seen problems have been occuring. I updated my sisters radio to the version that changed the start up screen. I didn't root the phone or apply any other update except for that one. Obviously I need to downgrade what I did to the stock. I downloaded SDK and will attempt to follow this: Quote:
Is there any info floating around about an aftermarket smooth backplate?I am really looking forward to the phone but I am not sure about that stepped off backplate.I would prefer a smoother one.Anybody know where to look for that kind of thing?
