how to remove widgets from the home screen,.With the new Google Play, and some other "necessary" apps I have, my widget menu is now flooded with widgets of apps I know I will never use -- is there a way to remove them so that my list is more succinct?
I just rooted my android (LG p500) and was removing bloatware using titanium backup. I accidentally deleted something which caused the homescreen to go black with no widgets showing, I cant even see the menu. I can still see and work with the top bar. When the phone is locked I can see the wallpaper I had but as soon as I unlock it goes black again.
I'm looking to remove and add some options to the CM7 power menu.
I've been building CM7 from original source so which files control what's displayed in the power menu? There are just so many files it's going to take a very long time to work out which ones I need to modify.
Just put a new gmail widget on my homescreen and it allowed me to put the widget on the screen without the gmail label. It looks so much cleaner than the other widgets around it that now I want to get rid of all of the labels.
As you can see in the link below there is an extra padding (around 2mm) below the EditText field. I can't seem to remove this padding in anyway. This occurs with other widgets as well (like Buttons). It looks like Android is default adding this extra padding to all elements.
Remove widgets from the home screen? I searched this forum and didn't see anything on it. I am a new owner and new to this forum and I LOVE my phone. But it has shown me that I am not nearly as tech savy as I liked to think I was. I am a little overwhelmed with this phone.
The lock screen is also a java class called LockScreen.java.In this class,it captures the event of MENU key, so if the screen is locked,we can click the MENU key to remove the lock. The qustion of mine is that How Can I remove the lock like MENU key do??Is that possible? (I know KeyguardManager and KeyguardManager.KeyguardLock, but this is not the right way,I want to remove, not to hide!).
I did rooted my Desire few weeks ago, after i did apply 2.2 update, now i believe my HTC is unrooted again, which i am happy with. This question probably been asked 100 times, but still cant find answer to it -how to remove Superuser permission app from menu without rooting phone again?
Recently I installed BHMAN's 1.6 ROM without TW, and I'm having a problem where sometimes my clock widgets stop refreshing the time.
Now i've searched for this problem and usually the best solution to this is to delete any task managers installed, which I cannot because the task manager is embedded into Home++, so I'm thinking the only way to get rid of the task manager is to delete the whole Home++, correct? I'm using ADW launcher at the moment.
