So my screen on my note has gone black, and I have searched forums and there have been posts saying that there are plenty of videos and such that explain how to remove the backing. How can I remove it without breaking it? They also say credit cards useful, but how?

My note 10.1 2014 edition is rooted. When I use the Android Tool solution found on XDA developers, it detects my device, but always shows an error stating that ADB is unstable.
If it's not possible to fix it, are there any other ways to connect my Tablet to the internet via USB? I don't have WIFI, and mobile data is expensive
I got a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. 2014 Edition. I love the Tablet, great for watching Youtube videos, and mostly for playing my retro games. But lately now I have a serious problem. I have Verizon Fios at home and whenever I try to connect my Wireless tablet to it It lags, it slows down, many times the connection comes up for a couple of seconds, then connection drops. I told Verizon about and they are going to send me a new router. it is a software connection issue with the Samsung Tablet? On my computer, I am getting 7 mbps download speed and 6 mbps when I am supposed to be getting 50 Mbps on my comupter.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to remove some softkeys from a ROM for the Galaxy Note. The Galaxy Note has a hw home button and capacitive back and menu buttons. The thing is, I like tablet ROMs because they use the screen better, but all of them come with Home, Menu and Recent Apps soft buttons added. On TW modded roms you can also find a multiwindow button to launch apps in multiwindow mod (looks like a "^"). So I just want to keep this button (maybe Recent apps too, I'll decide it later). I know how to decompile apks and edit xml's. What I want to know is which apks I need to edit and which xmls in said apps I need to edit/remove entries. I already tried to edit SystemUI.apk and tw_systembar.xml (deleted the entries for Home and Back), but UI crashed on startup and never come up again.

I don't have sync enabled but I see a Samsung account folder in the Android browser favourites. There is nothing inside, but how can I remove this folder?
I already uninstalled the Google and Samsung sync applications with titanium backup but the folder is still there.
OK, here's is my somewhat convoluted question: I am considering the purchase of an android tablet (Dell Venue 32 gb)...I want to take it on a vacation and use it, in addition to GPS and Email, to back up the files from my camera's SD card...Is this a practical idea and what would be the best way to go about it?

It was a pattern lockscreen but they sh** it so you don't have any chances left and they don't remember the e-mail and password re-unlock it. The os was 4.0.3 I think and the bootloader isn't unlocked, USB debugging is off too. Is there anyway to get it work?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI believe I have tried everything now to get rid of all my picasa pictures in the gallery on my tablet included reading the forum and the rest of internet and now my brain is soon exploding.I have a Iconia tablet with Taboonay 2.2 custom rom.What have I done:
-I have stopped automatic sync option in account/sync to my gmail account, there is now way to tick off gmail,contacts,calendar and picasa.Only option is to stop auto sync with the gmail account itself.
-in settings/app menu I have closed down gallery app and clear data
-with astro I have deleted cache in ..android/data/com.android.gallery3d and android/data/com.google.android.gallery3d
-then I have wiped dalvik in recovery
but the pictures comes back like magic in front of my eyes every time I have tried.
Did you pull the blue tab to remove the clear protective backing between phone and keyboard? My D1 didn't have the tab, I did pull the backing off, and always regretted it as it felt smoother/firmer with it on. What did you guys do - remove or not, and any regrets if you removed it?

View 2 Replies View RelatedNever had any problems, but just today, my phone just shut off. When it shut off, it kept vibrating, just small pulses over and over until I took the battery out. When it shut off, it had 100% battery, so I put the battery back in hoping it would turn back on. The samsung logo/boot screen came up, then it just shut off. It does this repeatedly. I tried putting it into recovery so I can reset it, but it doesn't boot into recovery or download mode.
Strange things: Whenever I hold down the volume down key, it does the vibrating pulse thing until i take my finger off it. And when it's on the charger, it does the vibrating thing the whole time until I unplug it, even if the battery isn't in it.

i bought note 2 since 4 months . last week it stops charge ... i changed bettery ... still same ... changed charger ...still same .. Ever since i updated the software, two weeks ago, my phone keeps telling me that I have a new email (outlook) even though I don't! The phone vibrates as if I actually get a new email, but then it turns out that one of the already read emails suddenly is unread and "new". This happens every 10 minutes, so it's super frustrating. I am not using any specific app, just the one email-app that came with the phone.
Looking for a way to sync data between my galaxy note 3 and galaxy tab 3, like iCloud for the iPhone. When I had my iPhone it would sync all apps, notes, purchases etc between my iPad. Is there anyway to achieve this on the galaxy or with an app maybe?

So in the messaging app I can start a group chat but when I get texts back it just comes into that friend's name chat, not the group chat I started. But my main concern is that I am part of a group chat with my friends but it doesn't put those in a folder when they are sent to me. It just comes up as an MMS. I have tried GOSMSPro but maybe I am dumb and group chatting might not be possible to get all the messages in the same folder?
