General :: How To Make Exact Copy Of Device On Android SDK

How to make exact copy of my device on Android SDK so that I can test and develop roms on it? I found a guide on xda but it shows how to emulate Xperia X10 and it needs an add-on for X10. But there is no add-on for my device, so how can I emulate it manually? I have a Karbonn ST10 tablet.
It looks like I may have to replace my incredible due to some hardware issues. Is there a way to do a basic exact backup of my current incredible so I don't have to set up the new one. Like keep my custom scenes, apps, settings, etc so I don't have a lot of set up time on the replacement?
I'm planning on getting my wife a tablet for christmas and the one I found is running Android 4.0, is it possible to copy my backup recovery from my N7 and root and flash the other device? If so, any other roms.
When making an image I accidentally had Clockworkmod image be saved to the device itself instead of being saved to the external SD card.
I am able to browse to it using Root Explorer and select to Copy it, but how do I PASTE it onto the external SD card when Root Explorer only accesses the device directory and not the external SD card?
Quick 2nd question: I know on some previous devices such as the Galaxy S 4G you were *not* supposed to run Clockworkmod after booting in and from the Apps Drawer, instead you were only supposed to run directly from the startup screen before booting in. Is it OK to actually start the Clockwork Backup/Restore process from the Apps Drawer of the Galaxy S4 and let it reboot and do its thing or is it only supposed to be run BEFORE booting in?
I have a app in development. It write data to a SQLite database. I've tested the app on my NexusOne over the weekend and have a bunch of data now in the database. I'd like to copy the database off of the phone and onto my dev machine.
I've tried to use adb pull <path to mydatabase> <path to my local machine> but it gives me a Permission Denied error.
My fiends (Electronic engineers) want to assemble a new tablet, they asked me to research about making a ROM for that. Now, I need some resources to know about making a new ROM with custom kernel for our device.
is there any permissions from Google if we want to sell our device?
I have an SQL lite database that I am trying to copy to the device. I was able to copy it to the emulator easily using DDMS however with the protection in the device, I cannot access the database files from the DDMS perspective.
I read many attempts here but couldn't find an easy solution.
Is there any way to attach the database (let's say named 'proj') and replace the currently created database proj in he device files?
I have noticed that some apk's that cost money on android market are available to download from some torrent sites for free. I don't think many of the developers here enjoys that very much. So my question is if there are ways in Android to get around this so that you can't copy a program from device to device?
Just got the S4. Had the Incredible. Want to make my incredible, basically, a touch device for my kids (Wi-fi) only. So (after posting this question on the verizon forums) I performed a factory reset on my phone (erased all data) in order to start with a clean phone. When it comes back up it wants me to activate the phone. Is there anyway around this? Or do I have to activate the incredible and then reactivate my S4?
.My phone isnt detected by ADB during its boot. After bootup it shows up in the list of attached devices. Im trying to port MIUI v4 to my device so I need a logcat during the boot because it just hangs at the bootanimation but ADB doesnt see my device during boot. If I force a logcat, the log is emply.
I have tried several ROMs and on both Windows and Ubuntu and still no result.
I have a bootloop in the spaash logo,i was updating my software. My phone its an LG p714
i was trying to make a CWM recovery for the device. i managed to flash the CWM recovery but i was unable to access to,i was getting Secure booting Error, but the phone booted as normally does, well i has a notification to update the software via OTA,so i decide to update it,but before that i downloaded OTA root keeper,in order to keep root, made the SU backup and unrooted the phone, after i tought, well im ok i update the phone then i keep the root, but i forgot that i have flashed th eimage with the CMW recovery,so i got stuck in bootloop, and by the way if i connect the phone via USB and turned off i enter into CMW recovery, strange, but i cant do anything,i cant flash via KDZ i can use ADB but i dont have SU permissions.
I just bought a new new Android smartphone, and electronically and mechanically, it works very well, and gives a nice appearance. It was sold as having Android 4.1.1, and About Phone -> Android version displays 4.1.2. So in this version range, we are talking about Jelly Bean, right?
Software version in the 'About Phone' begins with, '6820_2.3.5_' but whether or not this identifies the OS version, or means something else ...
I'd like to know if there's any way of telling exactly which version of Gingerbread my phone is running? This is useful in deciding which apps should or should not, be installed.
The phone has been rooted, has busybox and a terminal application installed, how to identify the OS that requires this capability.
Just received my first HTC device (HTC Tattoo) and I have tryed several times to pared that for my old Nokia device for sending contact (Vcard) to my new and superb phone. Unfortunately I have no success on that. It will always inform me paired but not connected. Is there any how has similar problems with Android platform or is there any another way to copy contact information S40 device.
I'm getting beat down with GTALK_ASYNC_CONN wakelocks while on my work's AP.... the specific WL is :gtalk_async_conn com.google.android.gsf.gtalkservice.androidendpoint.... something everyone has been complaining about recently, and I never saw it until recently (now that I got up to 4.1.2 a short time ago.
Is there a way to determine exactly who is generating that WL? It's not related to GTALK, as the WL name incorrectly leads us to believe, but it must be google, and I only see it fire when the Wi-Fi is connected and in use. It's non-existent when I'm on Mobile. It comes and goes, sometimes chugging wake time like its cheap beer, othertimes it's dormant, and I haven't been able to figure out who is using it based on the context of when it occurs.
There HAS to be a log or something somewhere that says process X is responsible.
I am using droidlife's suggestion on how to root droid x 2.2 and when i copy the files to the correct folder and then hit doroot.bat all i get it "searching for device" the drivers are downloaded but when debugging is turned on it wants to download drivers for wb810.
I have written a simple android app and it runs in the emulator. Now how do I actually copy it to my phone? I have HTC's Eris. When I attach it with USB it asks me If I want to mount it as a USB mass storage device. I then see it in my drive list.
The directories on the device are:
albumthumbs amazonmp3 com.google.android.apps.listen ComicReader data DCIM download media music rosie_scroll
Now what should I copy from my Project directory and where should I put it? And is there any other process I need to run to "install" my app?

I have a game out on Android, and it runs in a single thread. Performs the work in run() and the draws in onDraw().Pretty simple. However, on a Droid it runs much faster than on a G1.What is a best practice for ensuring that the game runs at the same speed regardless of the device?
