Install Android on your HTC Windows Mobile phones - Kongtechnology.com. Google, the land of milk and honey, have smashed open the smartphone market when they released their Android platform for free to developers and in one fell swoop, gave a huge stride forward for smartphones everywhere. Traditionally, the smartphone market relied on specific operating systems such as Nokias Symbian, Palms PalmOS and Apple with their iPhone OS. Each company fights to keep their software on their own phones and the result is that a person is locked into using only phones from a particular company if they are familiar with the software. As they say, you cant have your pie and eat it.
Since the Dinc also has root, I would think they also have posted master backups in their forums. (I'm still trying to find some links.) Wouldn't their backup have some stuff we don't, (like the cool weather app that shows rain drops on their screen and a windshield wiper that wipes it clean), that could be installed on our phones?
I've checked the forum and found a couple threads related to my question but they all seem to end without a definitive answer, so here goes.....
I'm looking for a checkbook register app that can be installed on 2 Android phones and will sync with one another. Example: My wife makes a purchase and records it in the application.....I am then able to open the app on my device and view the purchase she just recorded and vice versa. As I stated above, I have checked multiple recommendations from other threads, (e.g., cashflow, firewallet, financisto, etc...), but none of them are clear as to whether or not they sync between multiple devices.
Is there a different way to automatically purchase apps from the Market than using Google Wallet? I have had a "problem" with Google Wallet using inactive credit/debit cards for payment and if it does not get resolved I may have to close my Google Wallet account to solve the issue.
Does anyone know of some alternative JVM language, however obscure it might be, which can compile to plain old java bytecode, without the need of a language runtime.I need this in order to try to develop android applications without startup or size penalty. Scala, Clojure and Groovy all require its own runtime library distributed with the application, so they are out of the scope of this question. The only one language which claims to satisfy this goal is Charles Nutter's Mirah, but I couldn't make it to work on windows. To clarify a bit, I know any language has to have runtime library. Obviously, what I am looking for is a language that has no additional runtime required besides JRE, or at least very limited one.
in my application first time i am inserting some data into sqlite db through assets, first time means installation time.next time onwards i am getting the values from db.Now my question is if the user chnage the language of the device automatically how that db values(Grocery names) are also changed?
How do you block Android game files from adding themselves to your media players? For example, if you're using Moboplayer to view the pics and vids you've shot with your camera, and you have a game like Dragon's Lair that has hundreds of mini 3 mB vid clips on your device to play the game, when I try to view my personal videos, I have to filter through the 800 some odd game vid clips just to look at my home videos. To add insult to injury, if you use a backup like Verizon that backs up only your newest movies and pics, it also downloads these hundreds of vid clips as well as photos of the uniforms on a game like Home Run Battle.
I plann to create application is a real time multiplayer multiple choice game. It will have a pool of approximately 600 questions that will be randomly selected for every game. Games will start on a rolling basis, consisting of 10 players at a time who must answer 20 questions per game, for quetion and logic for game it's ready , now my main part multplayer , what i need exactly:
1. Player has to choose a room from the lobbay to enter a game.
2. The player waits until thier selected room reaches 10 people. at that point, the game will start.
3. within the game, each player's score update it in real game.
4. you can click name of player to take you to that player's stats page.
i need this in android but i don't now how i can stat and what the tool i need for it , as i menstion up the logic for application ready but i need multplayer part.
I was wondering if there was a way to add Japanese as an language input for the Android keyboard? By default, there is no option to add Japanese as a llanguage input, and all other keyboards that have it are either ugly, don't have ICS as an optional theme or just too much, I prefer the stock Android keyboard on ICS over anything else and I'm sure there are some of you that agree. It would be nice to have this and other possible languages as optional languages on this keyboard.
I have an alert dialog with setMultipleChoiceItems, dialog is created and shown correctly but when I try to uncheck any of the selected items, the item stays checked. Here is the snippet of the code:.................
I have tried to make a series of dialogs, like a questionnaire, that the user needs to answers a series of questions selecting one or more checkboxes. I can do one, just fine, but when I try to make more than one question (lets say 10), it does not show, or show all the dialogs. I tried using dialogs or new acitivities.
So, my problem is I have multiple questions, one to be presented each time, and I need to wait for one to be responded so I can ask the next one. How do I accomplish this?
My first attempt was with a dialog box... but obviously it got all the boxes stacked in each other:
