So I got carried away with Rom Toolbox and delete my lockscreen messege and time. When I click on it shows I can edit it. But it doesn't sshow up on the screen. Galaxy s4 SGH-I337M is what we are dealing with.
I have a rooted samsung galaxy ace plus with GB 2.3.6, and i wanted to know how can you delete/disable/uninstall the default android lock screen(app), and set a 3rd party app as default lock screen app, i had tw launcher but switched to ADWLauncher ex currently and was trying to avoid installing another app like nolock etc
So you decide that you want to add your password to your voice-mail on your eris, this is helpful especially with the proximity sensor, as it appears to disable the screen for a couple of seconds when listening for please enter password. So you input your password for your voice-mail on your phone and now when someone call and leaves a message, it shows on the bottom of the lock screen you have a new message and *86ppXXXX# and your password.Anyone know how to hide the voice-mail password from showing on the lock screen?
Thought some others might be interested in doing this if they haven't already. First off, you need root access to do this, and I am not responsible for any damage you may do to your device.
1. Download any font to your SD card. Make sure it is a TrueType font (most are) but double check anyway. Check out dafont.com for a huge selection of fonts. 2. Rename this font to Clockopia. Make sure the "C" is capitalized. 3. Now, open up Root Explorer (or any other file manager with root access) and navigate to system/fonts/. 4. Long click on Clockopia.ttf and copy it. 5. Paste it on your SD Card somewhere and rename it to something like Clockopia-Original. This way you always have a backup. 6. Now, long-click and copy your new downloaded Clockopia. Don't paste it anywhere yet. 7. Navigate back to system/fonts/ and press the "Mount R/W" button. 8. Long click on Clockopia.ttf and press "Delete" 9. Paste the new Clockopia in its place. 10. On the new Clockopia.ttf, long click and press "permissions". Check all the boxes under "Read" and the user box under "Write".
Perhaps this has been addressed previously, but i haven't found an answer yet. every picture i put up on my lockscreen wallpaper gets cut off by that stupid lock bar with the clock on it. does anyone know how to make that go away or transparent at least? it is driving me crazy and i haven't "found an app for that" yet.
I recently got the M8 upgrading from the Galaxy Nexus. I am a design student, and I HATE, I mean HATE the current clock set up with that damn weather icon and how it all looks uneven. Are there any widgets/apps or anything which I can change this?
On my galaxy: [URL]
On my one: [URL]
Is there anyway I can change my current clock or SOMETHING. I do know that I can add a new widget page and have a new clock, but I can't make this my default lockscreen. Sliding across on the lockscreen seems pointless to me - i want this visible when i double tap my phone.
I just bought a Note 2. The only reason I bought it because on iphone I wasn't able to hide my apps without jailbreaking. I was really looking forward to some on android market that would allow me to hide certain apps and password lock them along with password locking settings options. Yet I have not been able to find any. I have a few apps that I want to hide from my family and friends.
I would rather not root my phone as I am not that technically advanced!
I have downloaded some app from android market called Screen lock or something so I could unlock my phone like on iPhone. I set up my code and it was working fine. But someone was trying to unlock it and put some wrong codes, so the Screen is now lock when I put right code still nothing nappens, the screen is lock. Can not do nothing now? can I? When someone is calling me I can not pick up the phone can not see the messages. What should I do? How do I delete Screen Lock app?
I'm pretty sure the answer is "no" but, is there any way to hide the clock in the notification bar? If I'm using a clock widget like Beautiful Widgets I don't want to see another clock in the notification area. I like home++ but I don't want to hide the whole notification bar, just the clock.
I am plan B and AVG security installed, both don't always work, I have pattern lock on the phone but even in pattern lock mode when i press and hold power button the phone gives me option to shutdown.
If someone steals my phone they will be able to shut it off without unlocking it since holding down power button still works. So is there a way to lock the power button from shutting off phone when the phone is in pattern unlock mode?
For the sake of keeping this from going the way every other thread I've seen on the subject always goes: Yes, I am fully aware that adw launcher and launcher pro give you the option of hiding your whole statusbar. No, that is not what I am after, nor is that what this post is about. This is a question for theme developers... Is there anyone out there that knows how to hide the statusbar clock in FroYo? I've been poking around for the past two days trying to figure this one out on my own, but it's not going as smoothly as I would like it to be.
Most of what I've been reading points to the Services.jar file. (Specifically comandroidserverstatusStatusBarIcon.smali)... but any of the threads I've found mention changing the border. I can't find anything in the StatusBarIcon.smali file that indicates border spacing at all. Am I even on the right track here, or am I looking in completely the wrong place?
How I can hide the toolbar on the bottom of go sms pro?
In the conversation screen where you type, there are those buttons for emoticons and that along the bottom, how do I hide it? I recently broke my phone, so I got a replacement and now I cant remember how to hide those shortcuts along the bottom, i've done it on my other phone but I remember it took me a while to find it in the settings.
A Tasker task that when I'm on the lockscreen, I can tap or double tap to turn the screen off. I've looked in the Tasker tasks and I'm unable to find anything for this. I already use the Nova gesture+ScreenOff app to turn the screen off when I'm unlocked and at the homescreen, which works perfectly. The only thing Nova can't do it turn the screen off from the lockscreen.
I've got a Nexus S phone with an amoled screen and I was wondering, is it possible to make it so that when the screen is turned off, a clock appears on the screen?
I remember some nokia phone that also had an amoled screen and that had a neat feature; whenever the screen was turned off, there was an always-on clock that'd show up, and since the clock was small and the rest of the screen stayed black, it didn't drain the battery.
I mean, that'd be a pretty cool thing to have on amoled android phones, no?
