General :: How To Flash Stock Rom - (samsung Galaxy Player 5.0)
May 19, 2013
i edited my build.prop now my Samsung galaxy player 5.0 or Samsung galaxy S WiFi 5.0 won't boot. Firstly, i did some searching and i want to know if this is the right stock ROM [URL].... I downloaded the USA one,Is that the right stock Rom? How do i flash the stock ROM with Odin? Will flashing a stock ROM fix my problem?
I have a galaxy 3 smart phone and would like to know how I can install a flash player on it? The OS is Eclair 2.1. Does 2.2folyo support flash and is so how can I install 2.2 on my phone? Rooting ?If I root my phone, will this allow me to install 2.2folyo ? or a decent flash player ?
I've read a lot of topics in online and also saw a lot of video tutorial to Flash my Galaxy Y's stock ROM with odin.In Odin,I've selected every file but whenever I click 'Start' button,it shows me this message in message box.
I have searched high and low with no answer to this. I like the stock music player on the Galaxy S and want to use it but my playlists do not show up in the playlist tab. I do not want to re-create my playlists on the phone. I have used mixzing which is great and shows my playlists imported using salling media sync or ones added to the /playlist directory but I am happy with the stock player, but I can not find where or how it reads playlists or if it is some special format? I guess there is a way around it by viewing the recently added playlist and just create a playlist from there, but any help with this would be great.
Is there a better video player application which is free in the android market? The thing i dont like about the stock video player is that it doesnt sort my movies and videos. For example, i made folders for my series and my movies. after it scans for media, it shows ALL my videos in bulk... not grouped by types. I used the gallery application and the Gallery app does a better job...but is there a free application that sorts out movies as as good as itunes for the iphone?btw, this is not a major issue and it is less than a minor inconvenience Im still very much happy with my phone
What i need to do when i install flash player , i asking for this because when i install flash player i trying to watch movies online, but nothing happens at all , so how i need to activate flash player?
common question this one, but i have had a search but no luck i;m afraid. Using Media Monkey to sync to my SGS, but the stock player doesn;t seem to recognise playlists, or the difference between podcasts and otehr tracks. Anyone else using Media monkey and know how to get it working? I've followed the steps here easiest Way to Sync Music to Android Device Using Media Monkey
I'm sure there is an easy answer to this but how on earth can you opt for just a random play all? I've searched through the options but none of them seem to offer just a random play all feature but I'm sure it's there. Is there a hidden option somewhere?
I have a Galaxy SII SGH-I727 and my computer does not recognize my phone as a USB device. I've already tried several other cables and computers. Odin is unfortunately not an option for me. I am trying to unroot my phone (I understand that flashing to a stock ROM unroots it...I hope) so that I can send it in since rooting it voids the warranty.
I own a galaxy music s6010L and I want to flash stock firmware UBALK1 but I don't know with odin version should I use... I saw there is an specific version for every Samsung device but I couldn't find the right one for mine...
Today itself i downloaded and tried to flash my S DUOS 2 with stock ROM on Odin v1.85. Though it started and was in initial stage( Flashing boot file), i mistakenly DISCONNECTED the device. Now it's not turning ON !!!!
Device : Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 S7582 Firmware : S7582XXUAMK3 ODDAMK1 Odin - v1.85 Mistake - Disconnected the device while it was downloading the firmware. Device Status : Not Switching ON ! , Nothing happens when power key/+ any key is pressed
I just bought a Samsung Nexus $G LTE phone for Verizon. Previous owner installed a custom cyanogenmod kernel. I don't care for this kernel or setup, how do I install the stock factory Verizon image? Is there an easy way to do it without bricking the phone?
I'm looking for a mp3 player for my car. I usually use my Verizon Note 2 to play my music but due to ill parents need to keep phone ready for call. So I'm looking for a mp3 player. Don't want an Ipod. Really like my Samsung media player. If I buy a used phone (possibly from ebay) can it be used as a mp3 player if I don't activate it? And what about phones that are advertised with bad ESN. Since I'm not activating it would it still be usable for a mp3 player?
I would assume it can be used as a mp3 player just not as a phone and I could never update it. Is this correct? I've always just used the phone that I have activated with Verizon so I don't know what I can and can't do with one that isn't activated.
I have a question about the files being used to flash my Samsung Galaxy S2 via Odin.
I have already seen this link [URL]...
I am trying to flash the PDA, Phone and CSC back all to normal stock. I have downloaded a firmware and I only have one file with a .dll file. The one file I have is named "I9100BOKK1_I9100TMUKK1_I9100BOKJ1_HOME.tar.md 5" I have extracted the files from here also and it contains boot.bin, cache.img, factoryfs.img, hidden.img, modem.bin, param.lfs, Sbl.bin and zImage.
How with these files and Odin do I flash all three parts. I can't see how to use these files on the above link with instructions for flashing and rooting.
I recently got my first android phone - Samsung Galaxy W.
I decided to install a custom rom. Before that i had to root my phone which i did without any problems. After that i had to flash ClockworkMod v22.214.171.124. I downloaded the file which was in zip however i didn't extract it (which is what i should have done) and copied into my phone's memory. After that i put this code in the command promt
After rebooting the phone i can only get into the download mode in which nothing happens. And when i connent the phone to my pc the computer doesn't detect that my phone is connected. What shall i do now? Is my phone a brick now?
S2 i777...a friend of mine bought it for me from us and i unlocked it using the code purchased from ebay..my problem is that i rooted my device to remove bloatware from the device and accidently removed samsung stock weather app(accuweather)completely..after that i unrooted my phone to stock stage as it was at the time my friend bought it but the weather app is no where to be found on my device....i tried to find for a solution to reinstall that app..i found the apk from here but when i try to install it gives me an error "Application not installed".
I bought my Galaxy Ace S5830i last month. I hadn't installed Samsung Kies until yesterday, when I launched it it prompted a firmware upgrade. First I tried to use kies to upgrade but whenever the upgrade process started (Kies started downloading the firmware files) my device automatically got disconnected..I tried reinstalling kies, restarting my phone but nothing worked.
I then decided to use odin(v1.87) to flash the firmware on my device but it kept failing at first step itself. Here's what it said :-
<ID:0/010> Added!! <OSM> Enter CS for MD5.. <OSM> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable.. <OSM> Please wait.. <OSM> S5830iXXLF3_S5830iODDLF1_RST_S5830iDDLF1_HOME.tar. md5 is valid. <OSM> Checking MD5 finished Sucessfully..
The phone has been working as fine as ever. Kies never got to the step of INSTALLING the new firmware as whenever it started downloading the firmware files my phone got disconnected so no damage there.
With ODIN I entered download mode but here too it fails at the beginning, so I just switch off my phone and restart it and it works as if nothing ever happened (I've made several attempts)
I have Samsung GT-P6800, that is 7.7 tab, actually, some days ago, it has developed the bootloop problem, I decided to load custom recovery and take the backup of the data, because I can't able to lose the data as the data is very much important that is stored on the tab, but when I load the Odin V3.70 & V1.85 and in the PDA section I load the .tar file of TWRP 126.96.36.199 recovery, and flash then I got the success & pass message in the Odin, but when I restart the tab in the recovery mode, I again go in to the Default stock recovery that is e3 Android System Recovery, I don't know why this is happening, as I have tried many versions of Odin as well as twrp and cwm recovery, but whenever I go in the recovery mode, I found the stock recovery loading(e3).
I need a stock recovery for Metro PCS Samsung Galaxy S3 (SGH-T999N)...I installed clockworkmod recovery onto my phone and didn't realize It wasn't going to be easy to remove it im trying to revert back so I can receive ota updates on my phone. Next month I heard talk about samsung releasing the kit kat update 4.4 to this phone correct. I would love to revert back so I can receive it inless you know of other ways of getting it other than installing custom roms....witch im not comfortable doing....I already messed up my phone in the process of rooting doing the ad block app....which then when I uninstalled it. I couldn't connect to the google servers.....so I had to go back and edit the host file and got it working finally but now I just want to remove this recovery..I want to update my rom I know people say do complete wipe and install the stock rom and that should remove it but I'm iffy on the subject because I don't want to brick my device if it doesn't agree with something. I'm not all that new to rooting I had a coolpad quattro which I rooted in the past phone btw don't ever buy it. As well as my first galaxy 1 from verizon and a galaxy aspire. but im having problems trying to understand and avoid bricking my device because I haven't even finished paying it off and it's 400 dollar device plus interest...
source for a 'stock ROM' for my SGS II GT-I1900G (Chinese version), for Region: Europe and Country: United Kingdom, and based on ICS.
I have been round and round this for 3 weeks now trying to find the right ROM so that my phone will work as if it was a UK phone. Mostly I find myself directed to parts of this web-site which I am them prevented from accessing because I am judged to be technically not competent (which is probably true, but not useful).
