I have a LG P350 which development has stopped but i want to keep it updated, i have my computer ready for building, also i have kernel sources, Cyanogenmod 11 and 10.1 sources too, (I don't know exactly if 10.1 sources could work) and i know that i need to apply patches to work on Armv6 but i don't know how to apply them to the source code, also i don't know if i would just need the pure source code to build or i need to do more modifications to it and finally, i don't know if the rom would work with 2.36 kernel which it's the most stable one for this device, i'm very new in this but i know that i can keep update my little phone,
So I wanted to install a custom ROM to my P350 today and it seems I can't get into recovery mode. When I try to get into recovery, it shows the LG screen, shows that recovery mode screen, freezes on that screen, reboots and EVERYTHING ON MY PHONE GETS RESET,
I've tried 3 different ways to get into recovery, all of them have this result. It is very annoying that each time I try to get into recovery the phone gets a factory reset. How can I get into recovery?
I'm having problem with my micromax funbook p350. When ever i restart the phone, it comes in factory default mode. I don't know what is the exact problem. I can't even install extra apk files due to that. I want to flash my micromax p350 but i can't get the exact rom for it anywhere ? not even here....... and i don't know much about flashing android and solve this problems.
i got into a problem trying to flash the kitkat on my HTC sensation 4G.
i am using ATM the android 4.2.2 CM 10.1 albinoman887 rom.
i tried installing the android 4.4.1 according the instructions posted by android1234567 here:
i did factory factory reset, cache wipe, and davlik wipe after that flashed the Kernel Aroma installer, the rom and the gapps from this link.after i flashed them i rebooted and the phone doesnt pass the reboot screen, got stuck on it for few seconds and then restart and stuck again.
I want to install CM11. I have already installed cwm 188.8.131.52. All nicely, just that during the installation shows me a following error: error mounting storage/ sdcard0 . I know that a lot of these for topics, but I can not find nothing special. My smartphone is Samsung Galaxy Mini 2
i am running CM11, a friend used to be, and we used WhisperPush to send encrypted SMS. He got the M8, now is not running cyanogen mod, and therefore does not get the messages i send to him b/c he cannot receive WhisperPush messages. If I unregister my device from WhisperPush he can receive them. His old phone with CM also does not boot anymore.
There does not seem to be an option to delete his identity key from my phone. How I can do that?
I have a phone with a MT6577. The vendor (Wiko) published the kernel source code. So, i'm trying to build it. I can get the zImage. I converted it to boot.img but i can't boot with it on my phone.build a good zImage? (if you want to try) : URL...

Any way to play a sound file while the bootanimation is playing on CM11(specifically beanstalk, but being as it is cm based...) the reason im asking is because i would like the option to play a sound file of my own choosing rather then have no sound at all.
was trying to build cm11 byt was never been able to get the final zip file. It happened over 7 times. My pc reboots in the middle of the process every time. Is there a way to check what is causing this reboot?
I downloaded the Android 2.2 source code and try to build it. When I executed the make command, I got an error here like this build/core/java.mk:20: *** frameworks/ex/common: Invalid LOCAL_SDK_VERSION '8' Choices are: current 4 5 6 7. Stop. Then I changed the frameworks/ex/common/Android.mk to LOCAL_SDK_VERSION = 8 from LOCAL_SDK_VERSION = 7. Next place, build/core/java.mk:20: *** external/jsr305: Invalid LOCAL_SDK_VERSION '8' Choices are: current 4 5 6 7. Stop. I changed the external/jsr305/Android.mk to LOCAL_SDK_VERSION = 8 from LOCAL_SDK_VERSION = 7
Last one, build/core/java.mk:20: *** external/guava: Invalid LOCAL_SDK_VERSION '8' Choices are: current 4 5 6 7. Stop. I changed the external/guava/Android.mk to LOCAL_SDK_VERSION = 8 from LOCAL_SDK_VERSION = 7 By these changes the code started the compilation.
1. Why the error occured? 2. Changes which I did is correct or not?
I have a Samsung Galaxy Express i437, I used Odin v3.7 to root and flashed the CM11 ROM with ClockWorkMod recovery. Everything works fantastic, its so much faster than OEM 4.1 Jellybean! I bought it just to practice root & ROM for my first try (dont wanna brick my S4)....not bad for a cheap 4G Wal-Mart go-phone i'd say.
The only issue I found so far is that the external LED lights (menu and back) flicker non-stop, wasting a little bit of battery. It always stops the flickering by locking the device one more time, but sometimes I dont notice it when its laying around and it takes a toll on the power. Is there a way to fix it, and how would I fix it? I am just now learning about Terminal Emulator commands, and sideloading and whatnot. I do have the LED Light Flow APK controlling the lights on my S4, maybe it is obsolete for the i437 since I didnt notice LED notifications.
rooting and flashing with this same exact device, let me know, it was so easy to use ClockWorkMod recovery instead of TWPR because of my 64GB SD card format (EXT-4)? iirc
I'm in the process of learning to build android from source. I've got my AOKP rom booting and am working on adding superuser to it, and am running into troubles. After much googling here is what I've done
Cloned Superuser source code
Code: git clone git://github.com/ChainsDD/Superuser.git packages/apps/Superuser Copied the su binary from my current rom (/system/xbin/su) to my device tree
# copy su binary PRODUCT_COPY_FILES += device/lge/E973/su:system/xbin/su
Everything built fine and Superuser is in my app drawer when rom boots. If i try to open Superuser it force closes. Root checker shows that i am rooted, and typing 'su' in terminal emulator gets root access. Neither will give me a dialog asking to deny or grant.
If i install SuperSuperuser from the market, it will present all the normal dialogs and everything seems as it should.
Here is a logcat of the failed attempt to open superuser
