my galaxy grand was rooted and had the Resurrection Remix custom ROM, but now I want to reset my binary counter, unroot and flash the stock ROM. I started by downloading the .tar.md5 file (stock ROM), then I loaded it in Odin v3.09 as the AP (which is the PDA option but changed its name I think) and flashed, but it says fail at the beginning and now I only see "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again". I already installed Kies and tried this, but after a really long time when the progress bar reached 70%, it said Dll load fail and this was the second time I do it through Kies, but no avail and yes, I'm pretty sure that I have the ADB drivers installed. I flashed CWM touch recovery and it works good, so now I can enter Download mode and CWM mode (or whatever it's called) only. I want to flash back to the Stock ROM which I already have.
I have xtouch X1 with MT6589 SoC. have lost my IMEI while flashing a Rom i have tried many different methods but none has worked and in baseband version it says unknown and whenever i try to type in IMEI via engineering menu it says can't send AT command and i have flashed back to my stock rom via SP Flash Tools but even that didn't work, I have tried terminal emulator method MTK Droid tools method but none has worked even tried to replace the file of IMEI one but still same.
Im trying to make custom rom for GT-S7710 using stock XXAMB6. But after flashing with full wipe i got IMEI/Null and Baseband/Unknown. I put everything in System folder in ZIP, include cache.img. And i dont know where is my problem
I purchased a nexus5 off of some guy that was selling one in my local area. The phone was in the original box and I was pumped at getting one for a bit cheaper than they are on the play store. Although this last week it randomly could not connect to the network, so I called Telus (my Canadian provider) and after a half hour of troubleshooting they told me that the IMEI is blacklisted as a lost or stolen device? Is there anyway I can change the IMIE address?
I bought recently my thl W8S, and I was experiencing some troubles with the battery charging (taking 10 hours) and my GPS connection.
So I decided to flash it via CWM. But I'm very new in the flashing and all this stuff. I tried a lot of things to get CWM , even thing I didn't know.
The problem of my IMEI came out atfer I installed this : [URL] ....
The recovery installer apk, I just click on it and when my phone rebooted, I didn't have any access to my SIM management, no more coverage of course.
I tried the *#06# and my 2 IMEI are just marked as "INVALID".
Since yesterday I tried few different operations to get if fixed but nothing is working.
I tried to use the engenering mode (menu CDS, Network information) and send the AT command with the IMEI but I got an error message : AT command is failed to send.
Then I tried to recreate the MP0B_001 file with some tools I downloaded. And I put it in the right folder (/data/nvram/md/NVRAM/NVD_IMEI/MP0B_001) instead of the old file. I reboot my phone, still the same trouble.
I can't find the stock rom to try to flash it with Odin ..
I'm having the documented problem of no data connection, always on roaming, after flashing to CM 10.1. My prior rom was CleanRom 5.1, and I have several nandroid backups from various roms over the last few months. GS3 (d2vzw) with root and unlocked bootloader.
So the question is... What's the best way to restore IMEI info and get mobile data back?
There are a couple of steps I'm not sure of:
Option 1: Flash a nandroid recovery, backup IMEI using terminal emulator, and then crack-flash away
1. If I restore my phone to a previous backup, is the correct IMEI information included?
2. Also having a problem getting the MD5 sum's to match. Should I flash through ADB instead of clockworkmod? Or use Odin to get back to stock and then re-root? If correct IMEI included with flash back to stock?
3. Assuming I restore a nandroid, the plan was to use "reboot nvbackup" in terminal emulator to save IMEI info.
4. Flash back to CM 10.1.
Option 2: Use IMEI Generator and NV Reader/Writer:
1. Based on this thread: [URL]
2. Problem: The link to the generator tool in the OP is broken (404). I can get the converted IMEI number from an alternative program, but don't know how to format the text file correctly to use with NV Reader/Writer. Any standard format of a dummy IMEI text file?
Today itself i downloaded and tried to flash my S DUOS 2 with stock ROM on Odin v1.85. Though it started and was in initial stage( Flashing boot file), i mistakenly DISCONNECTED the device. Now it's not turning ON !!!!
Device : Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 S7582 Firmware : S7582XXUAMK3 ODDAMK1 Odin - v1.85 Mistake - Disconnected the device while it was downloading the firmware. Device Status : Not Switching ON ! , Nothing happens when power key/+ any key is pressed
1. why i got 0 (zero) on my IMEI ? (I can make and receive calls) 2. why my phone perform reset (No predefined times) - I think when is in effort - But not sure about it 3. How do I know the phone is not fake ? (I bought it two days ago)
I have recently upgraded and rooted my Grand Duos i9082 (currently on Stock v4.1.2 AMB3), and was browsing through the "Root Explorer" app, when I noticed some folders under /mnt/ and /storage/ listed as UsbDriveA, UsbDriveB, UsbDriveC. I can connect a USB Flash drive to my phone, and use it as an external storage media? I believe this function is available on Samsung Note & S3 as an inbuilt function (i.e. without having to install any external application). I would like to know if the same function is available on my Grand Duos.
recently bought a Note 3 based in a MTK6572 processor, but the signal doesn't work, I've tried many methods to solve it but no one has worked, I don't know what to do. Obviously this happens cause the IMEI is invalid.
I have been using Samsung Galaxy Note 1 for some time now, but couple of weeks ago my connections starts dropping and i would just take the SIM out and put it back and it would start working again.
What is is that when i enter *#06# it doesn't show any IMEI number. I have tried to restore my phone and install new software didn't work.
Some of the mobile shops said they need to buy a new IMEI number, some said they need to open it and see and some said "Basement" has gone bad. Not sure what that is though. May be he meant Baseband...
I have a Galaxy grand Duos, it had Android 4.1.2 (stock) and I wanted to upgrade it to Android KitKat (4.4) so I rooted it and I upgraded first to 4.2.2 using RR (Resurrection ROM) and it worked flawlessly then I used CM 11.0, I flashed CM 11.0 (the ROM) and gapps, but now it just won't boot, it's stuck at the Galaxy Grand Duos logo and it just won't go to the main screen or anything, did I brick it or what?
I bought a s duos which i hav rooted recently i started searching for sum roms 4 it but i couldn't find any soo i thought of using cyanogen mod 9 (unofficial) i put it in my sd card went 2 cwm and flashed it but my phone was in boot loop so i formated my phone cleared cache, dalvik cache etc, fixed permissions tried restoring bacxkups but still no use !X.it runs on android 4.0.4 . Any easy way 2 get out of the boot loop. i hav never installed and roms on this phone at all.
1) Samsung logo stuck screen 2) Recovery will only work when plugged with a usb cable to my computer 3) Did factory reset/wipe data cache/everything still samsung logo stuck 4) Kies 2.0 wont recognize the phone i think it has something to do with battery charger option turned on when you plug it with a usb(i remember from a thread someone said if you have it to charge when you plug it to your pc it wont work)
So is there any way i can still make my phone back to work?I tried with the pull battery off charge it and not working..Is the kies problem because of a bad usb cable?should i get another one?I was running officcial rom no custom rom just rooted the device
