i've installed cygwin and the android kitchen. I took the stock rom provided to me by the manufacturer, i was able to set up the working folder. Then I did : "Build ROM from working folder", without making any changes to apk's or something like that.
When i got the update.zip file i tried flashing it with a recovery and using the update.zip in /sdcard method. The first method just stopped after verifying, the second method said it was an invalid package.
I believe there is something wrong with the signing of the rom.
the Android phones in Slovakia have a custom locale - en_SK and cs_SK. Language is either Czech or English, location is Slovakia. Now I would like to have strings that target these locales. The default approach is to create a folder "values-CountryCode", for Czech Republic it's values-cs.
But I get a build error if I add a folder name values-en_SK or values-cs_SK: "invalid resource directory name"
I currently running Smoked Glass V6.0.1. I tried updated my google maps to 4.1.1 and I get a invalid signature. According to google mobile help forums I am receiving this error because my build number doesn't match specific build numbers their application is designed to work with.
I bought recently my thl W8S, and I was experiencing some troubles with the battery charging (taking 10 hours) and my GPS connection.
So I decided to flash it via CWM. But I'm very new in the flashing and all this stuff. I tried a lot of things to get CWM , even thing I didn't know.
The problem of my IMEI came out atfer I installed this : [URL] ....
The recovery installer apk, I just click on it and when my phone rebooted, I didn't have any access to my SIM management, no more coverage of course.
I tried the *#06# and my 2 IMEI are just marked as "INVALID".
Since yesterday I tried few different operations to get if fixed but nothing is working.
I tried to use the engenering mode (menu CDS, Network information) and send the AT command with the IMEI but I got an error message : AT command is failed to send.
Then I tried to recreate the MP0B_001 file with some tools I downloaded. And I put it in the right folder (/data/nvram/md/NVRAM/NVD_IMEI/MP0B_001) instead of the old file. I reboot my phone, still the same trouble.
I can't find the stock rom to try to flash it with Odin ..
My padfone was bricked when I tried to replace the recovery by TWRP via goomanager (TWRP official recommended).
The procedure of goomanager makes nothing happens, it seems like just download the TWRP package.
The problem is that phone has different protection policies compared to HTC, samsung etc and the bootloader (fastboot mode) is locked by default.
In other words, there is no such a way to connect your phone when your rom, recovery did not pass the verification unless unlock the bootloader by ASUS official tool and void warranty before your operations.
If the recovery or roms did not pass the validation then the left-top corner of screen will show 'invalid kernel' and the phone haven't been unlocked to be premised to visit fastboot mode then the phone will be bricked.
I think there is two way to unbrick, the first is to unlock the bootloader by external connector, the other is to flash official recovery data by external. But when I tried to search solutions, I got nothing about padfone A66 even that RIFFBOX official forum.
I am extremely new in Android development and ADT.. I was working on trying to create my first `HelloWorld` in ADT but something messed up so I deleted all the files and folders and started a new project from scratch..but I am not able to debug this new project. I tried to create another project but everytime I am getting this error:
I started my android project in 4.1 (API level 16) then 4.2 came out so I updated the preferences and AndroidManifest to API level 17. However, when I tried to run my app on my Nexus 4 running 4.2.1, I kept on getting this error in eclipse:
Code: [2012-12-22 19:30:51 - Rhiokai] Installation failed due to invalid APK file! [2012-12-22 19:30:51 - Rhiokai] Please check logcat output for more details. [2012-12-22 19:30:51 - Rhiokai] Launch canceled!
The Logcat is so long, I don't know which part is relevant. I've tried cleaning the project, the target SDK version is set to 17 and I changed the Project Build Target to API 17 as well. I've rooted my phone and have clockworkmod on but I don't have a custom kernel. What do I need to do to fix the APK file and change the permissions?
I'm currently running Liquidsmooth Rom on my AT&T Galaxy SIII. I've got everything running fine, but when I go to install Facebook from the Play Store, I'm getting "Package file invalid" every time. I've tried clearing data from both the play store and the google play services, rebooted the phone into recovery and cleared cache and dalvik cache. The same thing happens no matter what.
Edit:After trying to download on LTE rather than on WIFI, it worked fine.
I have a China copy of Samsung note its a I9220 with a android version of 4.1.9 athough looks like a copy of gingerbread.
Build number is Alps.ics.mp.v1 Google play reports phone as Alps I9220
My wife has done a reset on the phone, now the phone is showing invalid imei number on both sim cards. The phone has network connection but cannot make calls. The IMEI numbers are listed under the battery, how can i change the IMEI on the phone so i can make calls again?
On both my Nexus 4 and Note 8, I'm having severe wifi issues. It's so slow. On my laptop, speedtest.net shows 35Mbps down, 7Mbps up. On Nexus 4 and Note 8 it's like 0.7Mbps down and 0.1Mbps up. I did the speed tests because I'm trying to download something off the Play Store and it's going 200KB/s!! Not sure what's going on because usually downloads are super fast, especially on wifi.. I can normally download a 2GB file in 10 minutes.
Other issues are "Package file is Invalid" and "Cannot download ... error 497" and "Error retrieving information from server"
I've tried clearing data and cache for Play Store and Google Services. I've tried removing my account and adding it again. I've tried unplugging this, unplugging that, restarting this, restarting that. The ONLY thing that has worked is using mobile data instead of wifi. AND using my phone to tether so my tablet connects to the phone's mobile data and I was able to download updates that way. But right now I'm trying to download a pretty big file on my phone and I'd rather not go over my data limit.
I am seeing an issue on my HTC Sensation when attempting to update Apps that I paid for in the Google Play Store. The exact message that I see when attempting to update these Apps is "Package File is Invalid".
Here is a bit of background to this issue -
1). My HTC Sensation has a custom ROM (Elegancia) installed, and I have now re-installed it (which is when these issues started).
2). I can install a ROM and update Apps through the Play Store just fine at the start
3). I install Titanium Backup and perform a restore (I have tried restoring only data & apps + data [starting from scratch and wiping the phone then installing the ROM again to test both scenarios])
4). Apps return to the state that they were in before I flashed the new ROM
However now whenever I attempt to update Apps I get the infamous "Package File Invalid" message ***
I have noticed when opening Titanium Backup that it alerts me that the "Android ID" has changed, it also gives two options, 1). Leave the new ID, 2). Restore the old ID
5). I tested the updating of Apps both whilst keeping the new "Android ID", and whilst restoring the old "Android ID", the ID (whilst I am sure is important) doesn't seem to affect whether or not Apps will update.
This issue only appears to be affecting Apps that I have purchased, and the Play Store still recognizes that I have purchased the Apps.
recently bought a Note 3 based in a MTK6572 processor, but the signal doesn't work, I've tried many methods to solve it but no one has worked, I don't know what to do. Obviously this happens cause the IMEI is invalid.
I just went through the process of compiling a custom ROM and they used a stock kernel. I would like to incorporate a different kernel when I compile and instead of the stock. I know I could compile them separately and have them flash together but I want one zip to flash. Just would like to go through the process to learn.
I'm struggling with my Desire when composing a new SMS. If I open the Messages application, click on New message and then select a recipient, I get the error "Invalid recipient". If instead I reply to an SMS or select a contact from the contact list and choose to create an SMS, then the recipient is filled in correctly and I don't get any error. Is anyone aware of the possible reason for this and how can I get it fixed?
I know the error will probably be painfully obvious to you but using cursor.getCount() on the result of the following returns a 0 when there are multiple items in the table and trips the error "Invalid statement in fillWindow()".
I'm trying to get and display a live .kml file from maps.google.com using
However after opening the mapview I get a notification saying "The community map could not be displayed because it contains errors"
I only get this error if I download the .kml directly from maps.google. If I copy the exact same link into my address bar, download the .kml file, and upload it elsewhere then it works fine. I would like to be able to get the maps directly from Google that way I can make a change and it would be immediately reflected to my users.
I know this is not really the place to post this message, but this is the closest thing I could find to google android support. So a friend of mine did too many wrong patterns and the phone is asking for my username and password. When i fill in my login and password, it says "invalid username or password". I tried it like 20 times.I have of course verified the username and password on my gmail, and it works fine. Has this ever happened to anyone ? Is there a way around it ? I refuse to reset my phone to factory settings, i have all my contacts, and important notes in there.I was really looking forward to android, but stuff like this is just unacceptable, really disappointing.
i sometimes see this error in my logcat output, Cursor: invalid statement in fillWindow(). it sometimes happens when i press the back key and then it goes to the default android listview before going to my custom listview. what does it mean? how do i solve it? Because it does not point to any line of code where the problem is coming from?
I want to use the Google Maps API in my Project. I signed up and got the API key also. When I run my application now I'm getting an error "Error generating final archive: Invalid keystore" I m really fed up. It is very difficult to use Maps in an application.
