I own a rooted Droid RAZR M with ADAWAY installed but am having trouble recently. My browser, no matter which one, as Ive tried fixing this already, continues to open by itself every couple of minutes going to [url]..... I've tried new host files and different ad blocking apps, Even froze google chrome using titanium backup and installed fire fox but it continues to happen.
I have a nexus 4 with straight talk and am trying to figure out how to use the internet when I am not connected to WiFi. My wife's Galaxy Proclaim android phone automatically connects to 3G when cell service is available however my Nexus 4 does not.
Well at schoolwifi seems to work finewell at least it used to it would connect perfectly now it connects and says athundicating or something like that ... I'm on a nexus 7 .. My iPod used to connect until the same thing happen ... My wifi just turned off and I though the schools was down but for then on I couldent connect... I'm guessing that they blocked me ... is their anyway to bypass this .... Note this is not a phone its a 7 inch tablet so I can't pull it out of my pocket and text lmao. I play games on spare time and research stuff at lunch or after school..
Like many other people, I have the issue where I cannot connect to my exchange e-mail because of security settings. I was able to resolve the issue the first time by using Lockpicker. I had to reset my phone, root, and install fresh rom again. Now I am trying to use lockpicker again, but it doesn't work anymore. I have tried everything I can think of and have searched extensively. Touchdown can connect, but there is no way I am paying for that when I was able to get the stock email app working the first time.
SMS Popup works on 2.2 -- but the setting to increase the speed doesn't work. The color changes work (note, they don't work on the app's own test function, you have to send yourself a text), which I love, but I had to uninstall after realizing that the speed increase doesn't work.
I have a Galaxy Nexus. I accidentally wiped the SD Card trying to flash back to stock, and now I have no OS. So, I'm trying to sideload a file onto the device but I'm getting an unauthorized message, as seen in the photo attached. I'm on a computer I've previously authorized, and I've tried one I hadn't, but both give me the same message.
Is there any way I can bypass this to get this file on my phone? Since I can't sideload through this, I've basically hit a wall.My recovery is CWM, but I've gone through every option and nothing seems to allow authorization. my phone's basically a brick at the moment.
I am looking for an app/widget to add a tiny bit of convenience to my life. I want the ability to tap on an icon on my homescreen that will trigger a (Bluetooth) connect to a device that I have paired with in the past. A one-tap-and-you're-done widget would be perfect. I have a Bluetooth dongle in my car that I connect to quite often that plays music over a stereo system (HTC Stereoclip A100). The device is paired with my phone, but I must go to Bluetooth Settings and click on the device to connect every time I get into my car.
I have tried a few apps in the Marketplace with no luck. I am using ICS (HTC EVO 4G LTE). One specific app that worked, but no longer works in ICS: Bluetooth Profile Widget [URL]
New Android user here, I was thinking about getting NBA League Pass Mobile on my Nexus One, but I was wondering if there is any way to connect it to a TV or computer monitor via the micro USB connection. 3.7 inches is nice, but watching the game on a bigger display would be nicer.
I have enjoyed my nexus 7 2103, on 4.4.2, for a few weeks now. I got adblockplus to clean up my browsing. My office wifi wasn't letting me ssh tunnel to my home server, so I set up hotspot vpn shield, but it limits usage in the free version. So I grabbed connectbot and proxydroid to get in, root using wugfresh to make those work properly. Got what I needed from the home server, shut it down, and headed for home.
So I got home, and Chrome now says Unable to connect to proxy server. So I made sure connectbot and proxyserver were not connected, and deleted the profiles I'd set up. No luck. Deleted the apps. No luck. Deleted the apps, no luck. Turned off ad block plus and deleted that, no luck. Cleared out hotspot vpn shield, deleted, nothing.
So I tried factory reset, no luck. Then I read that some people have had luck reinstalling those apps that changed proxy settings, which hasn't worked for me yet. I've tried restoring the backup I made preroot, no luck.
What can I do to get my nexus back online? I finally found the proxy settings under kitkat (totally different than older versions, you press and hold the network name, NOT intuitive). I'm back online, and will tell my self I'll be more careful in the future. But I won't be.
I got a mysterious MMS mesg this morning from an iphone-having acquaintance. I rarely talk to this person, except thru FB. the mesg came in at 4-5 am, was not titled and had an attachment. Not thinking anything of it, I opened the attachment. Nothing happened, and the notification for the MMS, and the MMS itself disappeared. Vanished. no where.I messaged the friend about it and she said that she has no record of sending me a mesg at all. My battery seems to be draining really quickly. I had it on the charger all day at work, and went to lunch and noticed that I'm at 30% and dropping really quickly since being off the charger.does froyo have a security hole? is there a virus out there? anyone else experience something like this? should I start to be worried.
My phone keeps telling me that there is an Unauthorized Application that is trying to access my phone and it getting really Annoying. When I click/tap on it, it just shows a list of applications I have installed.
I have an android device: it's a stick connected to my TV, running android 4.1 rooted. The stick is an MK808B. The stick is connected to my TV's USB so that when I turn the TV on, the stick boots and when I turn the TV off, it shuts down completely.
I am looking for something that automatically connect the stick to VPN when I boot it. I would preferably use VPN over L2DP, although I'll take PPTP if there's no other option. I can't use openVPN because my ROM's kernel doesn't have TUN. There are two ways to approach this: one way is to connect it on boot, another way is to connect to VPN when the stick connects to a wireless network because my stick is stationary and always connects to the same wi-fi network.
I had an old HTC Desire in a drawer at home and thought I'd try let it serve as a Spotify Connect device attached to my Hifi. With the new Spotify Connect feature you can remotely connect to and control another device on your network to play music - perfect for me - without needing to buy a pricey new receiver with the feature built in!
It works remarkably well, much better than DLNA from my HTC One, with one caveat: after a period of inactivity it no longer shows up in the list of Connect devices in Spotify and I need to physically switch the screen on and select the Spotify app from the task list.
It's running CM 7.1 and turned Wifi power saving off in Wifi advanced settings. What else I could do to force it out of any power saving mode, seeing as it's connected to mains at all times?
I am getting a Nexus 7 in the mail soon and I am wondering what is the best application for recording lectures?
Also, is it possible to connect my nexus 7 to my Netbook for taking Pen Notes (similar to a graphics tablet)? I am planning to use my Nexus 7 for textbooks + recording lectures. I am using my netbook for notetaking and I usually use a GraphicTablet for anything I need to draw or write down with. I use the OneNote application. Any possible way to do the same w/ my Nexus? Also, not all rooms have wi-fi connection! So I can't connect w/ wi-fi. So basically I need something with a USB connector for the graphic tablet function!
Google services on my PC works perfectly fine, but there is something wrong with my network, google apps wont connect on any device connected to my home modem. I have tried it on my Phone, tablets, on my brothers phone, it just wont connect. However, when I connected my phone with the network of my University, I worked the first time but the second time, same no connection problem.
Few months back Bluetooth worked fine in my HTC Velocity 4G and the OS was 2.x.x. Suddenly it started to malfunction. Bluetooth is working. Can search and find for Bluetooth devices. Can pair (but doesn't ask for the passcode confirmation). But,
1. Cannot connect to the paired device. 2. Cannot send or receive files. When share through Bluetooth it just nothing happens. Same for the file receiving.
I did reset but didn't solve the problem. Therefore I updated the OS to 4.0.3, then reset the phone. But no result.
There is 3G into Android tablet. If device (Android tablet) looses network connection, it's just impossible to connect network until resetting of the device (Android tablet). What can be changed or adjusted in /system to fix it?
I use nexus one, otherwise known as a google phone, and just got the 2.2.1 update. Upon updating I got a request for a security update for the Email app. It wants to be able to:
1. Erase all data (perform a factory reset, deleting all of your data without any confirmation) 2. Limit password (reset the types of passwords you are allowed to use) 3. Watch login attempts (monitor failed attempts to login to the device, to perform some action) 4. Force Lock (control when the device locks, requiring you re-enter its password)
Call me paranoid, but this, especially no.1 seems suspect. Why would an email client need this extreme set of privileges? My spidey sense is pinging louder than a gaydar next to a drag queen. Can anyone confirm if this is a legit update or if I just downloaded a trojan horse of some sort?
I have samsung galaxy nexus and today i tried to flash a rom and the device stuck to the boot logo. The volume rocker doesn't work to go to fastboot mode or recovery mode and the adb device is anauthorized.
ok so me and my mom traded phones i had a iphone 5 and her the samsung galaxy s4 active so when i got the phone it worked great had it for about 2-3 weeks then all of a sudden when i try to enable wifi it wont let me it stays green and i keep getting a message that says Unauthorized actions have been detected. Restart your phone to undo any unauthorized changes my device is active 1537 version 4.3 ML2 build
Any way to automatically sync Play Store applications across multiple devices. In other words, I have a Nexus 7, TPad, LG Connect (work phone) and then I also switch between a GNex and Rezound (personal phone).
Is there anyway that if I download an app from one device that the app will also automatically be pushed/downloaded on the other devices?
It is a real pain to have to remember to go to each other device and download the app, and even worse when I switch between handsets that may not have been used for several week.
I have a standalone GPS enabled data recorder in my car that can function as either a USB host or device. (Its a class 0x00h USB device). I currently connect to it via a WM 6.5 app running on my Palm Treo 750. I would like to port my WM 6.5 app to an Android phone. (I don't have a specific Android phone in mind, I would like it to be as generic as possible).Replicating the GUI is not that difficult, but I am having trouble getting started on the USB communication. I'd appreciate it if someone could point me towards an example, or the appropriate tutorial.
