General :: Change (take Screenshot) From Power+Home To Power+VolDown
Oct 29, 2013
I have a rooted Galaxy S3 with Android 4.1.2, and for some strange reason they've changed the screenshot combination away from the Power+VolDown that other Androids use to Power+Home which can't realistically be pressed one-handed. How can I change it back to Power+VolDown?
my phone is karbon A9+ and i wiped the cash, system and data and after that flashed a Custom ROM ! but now the phone just power on in download mode!! how to power on, for recovery or normal power on ! the phone just have the black screen with "Entry QPTS Downloading" Text..i will back to India 5 month later ! can it be fixed or i have to wait for 5 month to come back and send it to service !
Has anyone had any luck with aftermarket power supply's. I'd like a car/ac charger or a stand alone power pack. I usually use my DEXIM. but it does not work with the Behold 2. I've tried a car charger/battery unit by Wireless Gear that said it was compatible with all Samsung phones, it came with 5 power tips and a USB outlet that still would not work, even using the OEM USB cable. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I will go with OEM Samsung if necessary, but there selection is limited.
Earlier I've posted about losing my keychar and keylayout folders but however downloading some files and folders from the internet and from other (non-samsung phones) my keys started working...However my home key, back key, the power keys doesn't work!
I probably think that some files are missing from my system folder (keychar and keylayout folder). I do not want to re-install my android once again. (I do not have backups either)
Image: [URL] ..... (The marked buttons are not working.) How to get the phone back to work normally.
1) when press the home or power button to screen on, it is quite delay?
2) when I want to end called, I must press power button, the phone screen only light on, then must double tap to unlock screen, only can press the end button to end call. Is there got any easy way like other phone? Like the phone can auto light on when take away from ear?
3) I have using the software update to update, but still the same, just want to check DXLG1 and DDLI1, which is more latest? DDLI1 is belong to which country firmware?
i have successfully ported CWM Recovery to my ZTE Merit/Avail/Roamer using the CyanogenMod gingerbread source (i did not use the unofficial port that was built from the ZTE Blade because the screen is upside down)
everything works just like it is supposed to--absolutely flawless. build went through without a hitch.decided that i instead wanted to use the "home" key to select menu options in the CWM Recovery instead of the "power" button that is default (had to uncomment BOARD_HAS_NO_SELECT_BUTTON in the BoardConfig.mk because there is no camera button on this phone)
so i copied the recovery_ui.c from the working Blade source (which uses the "home" key instead of the "power" key), placed it into my ZTE Roamer (Merit/Avail) source and added BOARD_CUSTOM_RECOVERY_KEYMAPPING := /device/zte/roamer/recovery_ui.c to my BoardConfig.mk
there is no problem reading the location of the file so don't suggest to change it..but when i compile i get these errors and it is not built
Code: prebuilt/linux-x86/toolchain/arm-eabi-4.4.3/bin/../lib/gcc/arm-eabi/4.4.3/../../../../arm-eabi/bin/ld: out/target/product/roamer/obj/EXECUTABLES/recovery_intermediates/recovery.o: in function get_menu_selection:bootable/recovery/recovery.c:470: error: undefined reference to 'device_handle_key' [code]....
who is not some novice that knows nothing about building a recovery.img from CyanogenMod source, i can use the home button instead of the power button. is there any easier way to change this than by using a custom recovery_ui.c?
My nexus one phone crashed a week ago, I reseted the factory settings, and since then I can't find the power control system(wifi, gps, Bluetooth and screen brightness) widget which I had on my home page when I first bought the phone.
i searched alot for this topic through Google will we have an app in the future that turns an Android device on/off automatically? especially in the new HTC devices as they have hibernate option.it is very necessary for sleeping at night and also for college lectures.
My motorola xt 531 custom ROM with the TIM does not care, but it happened after I installed the ROM MANAGER and choose the option to backup my current ROM, now when I press the power button, it just vibrates and does not start! Does a Hard Reset resurrect it? If yes, how to give a HARD reset it manually?
As I was nervously trying to install a custom rom, i wipe everything off my device ( HTC Desire X ds ), as per required by the instruction. But before in could install the rom, the device shut itself off. Now I can't even start it on bootloader, it just simply display a black blank after a short htc logo appears. Then after a while it vibrate 7 times in a row.
I read before where someone used some old, thin rubber from some headphones to replace the foam on the power button after disassembly. Send me pictures or anything of the sort showing how to do this? I really need to fix it, and I want to do it myself, but I don't want to turn my phone into a paperweight. "how to" guide on this issue and some reassurance that everything I take off can be put right back on if not broken.

I want change rom stock or custom rom Android 4.x.x JB or ICS. GPS is battery power less. I need change rom firmware.
I have a Galaxy Note II. When I have it in the side pocket of my pants I sometimes reboot the damn thing by crouching down. I listen to audio books when renovating my cabin (which is going to take a month or so more), and this has happened 4-5 times today! So I'd like to disable that button all together. It just has an idiotic placement on the phone. I prefered my old HD2, that had a power button on the front that actually took a bit of pusing. This thing is pressed by looking hard at it!
Any way to have a device automatically turn on when it is connected to AC from a power off state? My asus transformer already does this, but I'm not sure if there is a hardware requirement for this or if a system file can edited to enable it. I have another tablet (elocity A7+) that I want this feature for a car install.
I am trying to find the best ICS rom for the HTC sensation when it comes to the battery life. I understand the roms on here are works in progress, I would just like to find a good rom that isn't too hard on the battery life.
my htc sensation shut down yesterday, and as yet I have been unable to get it on, the battery itself was still sitting at about 15%. When I plug the phone into the wall or computer the orange led flashes slowly. When I attempt to turn the phone on it vibrates repeatedly as if trying to boot, but nothing appears on the screen. I have tried to jump start the phone, hard reboot, bootload through the pc but nothing seems to be happening. I need my phone urgently as my wife is due to give birth anyday now, and she needs to be able to contact me at work.
