General :: Can't Get Out Of Safe Mode Of LG Optimus G
Jan 12, 2014
I got my phone back from getting it's screen fixed. When I got into the car I noticed it was in safe mode. I didn't think it was a big deal and thought I could easily return my phone back to normal. Turns out I was wrong, I am having a terrible time trying to figure out how to get my phone out of safe mode.
Trying to root my Trekstor Ventos 8 and follow the instructions by pressing volume - and power on button. Keep getting into safe mode instead of CWM mode. If i press volume + and power butten I get into recovery mode. How or why do/dont I get into CWM mode? Android 4.1.1 is installed.
My Nexus S has been on safe mode on and off for a few months now. It is on safe mode because the volume down button is not working. I say safe mode is on and off because when the volume down button does happen to work, I restart my phone, and safe mode would go away. However, the volume down button would only work for a few minutes so I have to be very quick in rebooting. But safe mode would come back on if I need to reboot it again (phone freezes, etc). It would go back to safe mode because when I need to reboot it again, the volume down button doesn't work.
However, the volume down button is not working completely now and its been like this for like 2 months. I thought my phone would be always on safe mode now. But my phone has rebooted itself twice randomly (never happened before) and on its own and my phone would come out of safe mode, despite the fact that the volume button doesn't work at all. I can't just randomly wait for this random reboot to occur cause it can come at any time, sometimes even weeks. I just had to to restart my phone manually because my phone froze and it's back on safe mode. I was wondering how to make the phone randomly reboot itself on its own.
My phone died this morning on the way to work. When I charged the battery a bit and turned it back on, it was in safe mode. I've restarted the phone multiple times and it's still in safe mode. I have also shut it down completely and then restarted it, but to no avail. AND I have removed the battery and still, nothing. How can I disable safe mode?
I was downloading a bluetooth toggle button from the market, battery died. After plugging it in and turning it on, it's now in "Safe Mode". Says safe mode in bottom left corner, none of my app's show up, none of my widgets work.
Rebooted 100 times, held the trackball, held the menu button, held the back button, held the volume button, factory reset. Still in safe mode.
I recently rooted my LG Optimus L3-8C (E400) running stock rom and version 2.3.6 Gingerbread (yuck) and I followed all the instructions from this video:
in order to flash the CM9 ROM. Problem is I can NOT reboot into recovery no matter what I do it seems. When I try tp reflash the CWM recovery it tells me "successfully installed!" then when I press 'reboot into recovery" it gets stuck on the LG logo for so long I often have to hold the power button to go back to my device. I even download "recovery flasher utility" found here [URL]....but, whenever I run the app it tells me "no recovery.img" found onexternal SDCARD even though I placed it there! I tried to fastboot but whenever I run CMD it tells me " 'fastboot is not recognized."
i have a Tmobile Samsung Galaxy s2. Okay my issue is that my phone gets into safe mode 90 percent of the time i turn it on for the past two days.I power it on and its in safe mode. If I do a reset by clicking power button and and press restart, it doesn't resolve problem. if i click power button press reset and hold the button lower left bottom of phone while it reset, problem goes away, the safe mode is gone.
it keeps coming back to safe mode. I tried to do a virus scan with avg antivirus and it detected two bad apps,
I just entered downloading mode on my samsung device, and I was about to flash a custom recovery using ODIN, but I changed my mind and wanted to reboot the phone. But it stands "Do not turn off target !!". Or does this warning only apply while flashing?
I got my Galaxy S3 (custom build cm10.1) from my pocket to notice it said "safe mode" on the bottom. It might be that I accidentally pressed buttons to get into safe mode; but thats not the problem here.
I noticed that all my custom accounts were now missing (Caldav, Carddav, Xing, and some more). Only the google accounts remain. As all my contacts and calendar entries are on the caldav/carddav server, they went missing, too (of course, they will come back when re-adding the account). I didn't know about the existence of safe mode, I thought like "what the...", and restarted the phone, and it came up without safe mode now. But - the accounts are still missing, and taking a closer look I noticed that some customized or account-related widgets (K9 for example) are also missing now. At least most of the app data seems to still be present; even the Xing app works as expected, even though the related account is missing from the settings. It seems all the account related data is still there.
I've got three questions now:
1) Is it normal, that the described accounts/widgets get permanently lost when entering safe mode?
2) Is there a way to restore these without manually entering/configuring them again?
3) What _other_ data/settings I perhaps didn't notice until now can go missing when entering safe mode?
airplane mode is always on and if you turn it off, is stucks saying "enabling wireless connections" and doesn't turn off
mobile network settings are disabled

It happened after I flash my phone with cyanogenmod ROM, i flashed a couple of google apps and a custom kernel. I THINK when i clicked a certain CPU speed in overclocking, it kinda stuck and restarted and had no signal at all... I flashed it again a couple of times even the beta cyanogenmod and dardroidXD, factory reset, wipe data, cache, remove battery. i flashed it with the original firmware with different version but still no avail..
How to start my LG Optimus Net P690 in recovery and downloading mode?
Which is the latest stock firmware available for my LG Optimus Net, my PC suite is always showing that no new version is available, but I am having 2.3.6 in my Galaxy POP while in LG its 2.3.4. LG Optimus Net is actually launched later than the galaxy POP...
Where I can find the LG stock firmwares? Is there any Custom ROMs available for LG Optimus Net P690?
How do you get an Eris out of safe mode? My wife left her phone outside and it got a little wet. I dried it off and pulled the battery to make sure it didn't get wet. Put it all back together and rebooted. Now the phone is stuck in safe mode. No downloaded apps are showing, Lookout will not open in App Manager, Pandora won't work, and I'm sure I'm missing some more.
Im having trouble getting my Sprint HTC Hero out of safe mode. every time i have tried to boot my phone from the boot screen it gives me a black screen with a picture of my phone and a exclamation point it in front of it. I also tried to root my phone and finished all the steps but when it says "UNREVOKED" in the command prompt i dont get the "superuser permission" app in my app tray,
This procedure can clear a large number of problems and should be tried before a Hard Reset. 1.) Turn phone off remove battery WAIT for at least two minutes. 2.) Power On Phone while Holding MENU key Until ALL actions finish from Powering on phone At the bottom left corner of the display in transparent text will be the words "Safe Mode" 3.) Power off phone again battery out wait two minutes 4.) do a normal power on
i just got the 2.1 update this morning and was cleaning up a few unused apps and i came across launcher. I couldn't believe I still had it on here (been using sweeterhome) and so i remembered i had to go into safe mode to remove it. Tried to get into safe mode no luck. thought, ok, i'm missing a step or something. looked up the directions to make sure i was doing each step correctly and still nothing! i've held the power button and the menu button (keyboard) down at the same time until i saw the eye, until after the haptic then major vibration. i tried holding the menu and power, then releasing the power while still holding menu until both things i just stated and still nothing! what is happening is after I hold the buttons until after the vibration one of two things happens,it will go back to the screen that spells out droid then the eye or it will load normally, no safe mode on the screen. i read somewhere doing a google search that someone else had this same experience and asked for help and no one replied.
Is this a common troubleshooting step for a lot of Android users or do you go right to the factory reset? I do tech support for a carrier and along with the calls I get daily from frustrated Android users and some of the threads that I read in various forums, it just seems like this isn't a widely known or used option. Personally, before I have someone do a factory reset, I always have them put in in safe mode. Only once has the original issue they called about reoccured while in safe mode, so out a replacement went. Just seems so much easier to do a little self troubleshooting rather than calling up a carrier or ranting on a message board about how bad or faulty a device is. I'd hazard to guess that 95%+ of the issues these devices run into is due to end-user error.
I just installed an app (Contact Owner) and once I rebooted my phone, I can never get back into the system. That shall be the only harmful action that I had done, can I know if there's any way that I can boot into safe mode to uninstall that particular app? Note:I read some links, including this. Some said, HOME + Power, some said MENU + Power. Am trying both now and see which is gonna work.Tried both, not working How long do I have to press on the buttons? Is the "Power" button the right most bottom button?
Anyone know how to get my DX out of Safe Mode? Got the phone wet and the rice trick seemed to bring it back to life, but it is stuck in safe mode. Battery pulls do not fix it.I have a replacement on order, but they aren't giving me a delivery date.
Im trying to root my htc hero with android 2.1 and ive done all the steps and im not getting the "superuser permissions" a[[ in my app tray ive updated my build number to 2.27.651.5 which it says to do before i root. ive downloaded sync, and all the files and when i use the command prompt it goes all the way to the "unrevoked" part and the app doesnt go into my tray, im thinking its because its in safe mode and i cant get it out of safe mode, i need to get out of safe mode regardless anyway
waited a very long time for the android 2.1 update to come available for the htc hero on 3 uk and was over the moon when i saw the message to update. i did everything it told me to and it updated fine apart from the fact that my phone is now stuck in safe mode, i haven't rooted my phone and i have tried all the usual methods of getting the phone out of safe mode but nothing seems to work. has anyone had a similar problem and or have a solution,
Last night, my phone was fine before I plugged it in to charge. This morning. No alarm went off. The screen was extremely jerky when I was trying to browse through music. And then random bits of screen were being "pressed" when I was tyring to do anything. Rebooted it, no change. Now the bottom cm or so of screen stops responding to ANY finger presses. Thus making it impossible for me to get into settings menu. But it IS responsive with the notification bar (ie you can drag it down near the bottom and jiggle it around the area which I can no longer press)I've got launcher pro, which updated last night automatically. So I have everything on its launcher bar, now I can't get to anything. (How do I create a shortcut to the list of all apps?).Now when I reboot the phone its in safe mode with sense and the bottom cm is still unresponsive.Getting a bit annoyed now as its making everything a bitch to do and I can't reinstall Froyo til I get home from work. Anyone had similar issues?
For those of you who don't know...this is how you can boot your incredible into safe mode (newer version). 1 start your phone wait for the white screen 2 hold down your volume down button with one thumb and use your other thumb to press the circular button and the menu button at the same time. 3 hold this until your phone buzzes (then its ok to release the buttons) 4 you phone will start in safe mode...you will see "safe mode" in the lower corner.
Can anyone give me an idea what sort of battery life to expect from my Desire if its in plane safe mode being used purely as an MP3 player? I'm off on holiday on Sunday and was contemplating leaving my iPod at home and loading my Desire up with tunes and using it during the day when I'm lounging in the sun.
When emulator is running is safe mode, my application is not visible to user but On HTC-G1 run in safe mode , its visible to the user. How can I keep the app invisible on device also while its runing in safe mode.
My mom has a LG Optimus L9 p769. I'm trying to boot the phone into recovery mode by holding down the + volume button, the home button, and the power button. The phone will not boot into recovery mode. The phone works perfectly fine, I just can't get into recovery mode.
