I bought a Galaxy s Duos S7562 and i installed rom cosmic V1.It was working .But after that, i find out about pmp ultra light rom.I tried to install it but it remains stuck at boot logo, I mean it is restarting at infinite.I tried a lot of basebands, kernels but the same thing happened. Now i tried to install Cosmic rom V2 and before that, I installed Fat.bin with ODin 3.04 but the problem persists.I used the baseband :Bmj1 ; Amd; Bmd but with no ressult
I installed ICS on my Transformer TF101 and I was thinking to overclock it. Now i saw some thread already on this forum about it, but it was talking about the Transformer Prime (TF201) is there any overclocking kernel for the transformer on ice cream sandwich?
if there is one, to a kernel that includes the FPS fix and overclocking for 2.2? I installed the Ava release, and XDA is saying that the [Kernel]netarchy-toastmod, FPS 'fix' for Epson + Nova, now with hdmi - Version 3.7.5 - xda-developers is not supported on 2.2.
Issue is that I freeze at any speed over 604 max (via Setcpu). Tried setting higher speeds as a charge profile to see if being triggered would change yet didn't. I have done nothing with advanced menu as I have found nothing posted referencing it netting higher speeds. I am rooted, started with zanfur kernel, switched to a conap kernel (bfsv6), both with same results. Did dalvik wipe (i am running amon ra) then went back to zanfur kernel to try again, same results. What am I missing? If this is just equipment limit then what's the result of flashing a custom Rom with default clocks of 710+++?
So, I've just installed the two Hyra kernels and after checking the "about phone" section, I see the undervolt kernel has been installed. Now I've got a couple of questions.. 1. How do I know the overclock kernel was also installed? 2. Are there any settings or anything I need to turn the kernel "on" or is it automatic?
I am trying to use my cheap virtually unbrickable tablet to learn more about kernel development and eventually ROM building.
I have extracted the manufacturers (WoPad) LiveSuit image and used split_bootimg.pl to break up the boot image.
I extracted the config file from the kernel image using extract-ikconfig and it created a config file. I didn't see the config in /proc.
So, I have the factory ramdisk and the factory kernel config.
I have downloaded several kernel sources (lichee-3.0.8, ChritianTroy's 3.0.36, and another one from linux-sunxi 3.0.72). I can successfully compile all of them without errors and they all generate zImages, uImages, etc using the factory config as well as the sun4i_crane configs they come with.
When I repack the boot.img with the newly created kernel and install it on nandc it wont' boot past the android icon (u-boot). When I compare my boot.img to the factory one, they both have the same offset where the kernel starts (0x00000800). I have also ensured I'm replacing the kernel modules when I'm changing kernel versions.
I am thinking it might had hit "un-allocated" memory area, I did have to change the ramdisk_offset from 0x01300000 to 0x02000000 make the kernel fit. what could I do to check to see if it is un-allocated space I am dealing with
im new in android and a couple hours ago i try to instal beanstalk - legacy kitkat 4.4 and they suggest to download kernel from dark raven "dark kernel cm11.0" 11DarkUrushi20131130 after that im flash the kernel and something happen....
my phone dont boot up and the logo dont appear
im try to connect to flash tool but still dont get it...
I wanted to change the boot logo for i9300. Im well aware that you have to incorporate it in the kernel. I installed Ubuntu, the necessary libraries and brought the cyanogenmod source code. Only part is I dont have the necessary experience to tweak it using the NDK tools
I have a rooted Stock 2.1 Dinc. Went to use the hydra kernel #1 and it put me into a boot loop. I am restoring my phone from backup so not a big deal but does anyone know why this may have occurred? I don't really need the overclock just thought I'd try it.
I have Samsung galaxy s duos gt-7562 and using only the 1 simcard but i need to compile somehow the systemUI.apk to remove the icons from sim cards..i have finaly found a way to replace the icon with a png file but the result was this in the image and a huge space between wifi signal and gsm signal the think is that i want to be near and wifi icon replace the stock sim1 icon.
I have a phone with a MT6577. The vendor (Wiko) published the kernel source code. So, i'm trying to build it. I can get the zImage. I converted it to boot.img but i can't boot with it on my phone.build a good zImage? (if you want to try) : URL...
