I have the Gameboid Lite app at the moment, and have been playing Pokemon Firered for a few days; now it's time to cheat. The app seems to have a simple way to input Gameshark/Action Replay codes, but I can't figure out exactly how to accomplish this. Any help?
I just found out about the Gameboid emulator and out of curiosity, I downloaded Pokemon Emerald. It runs great on my Droid X. Sound works perfectly, game runs at 100% of its normal speed.
I want to use cheats, though. It is my understanding that no one can figure out how to use the cheats feature correctly. Does it simply not work? I grabbed codes off of Gameshark's official website and they still don't have any affect on the game.
So what I decided to do was download VisualBoyAdvance for my PC, load the rom, use the cheats, make a save file and transfer it over to my droid. But I can't find any ROMs on the web to download for VBA that aren't corrupt. Somehow the ROM I have on my droid is fine; I downloaded it via DroidEmuRomGet. But if I try to grab the ROM off of my droid and transfer it over to my PC, I find that when I browse my droid using my PC, it doesn't show any of the files I can see using AndroZip... Even though the file extensions are the same.
I'm very new to the android phone's (Just got my HTC hero three days ago.) and I was wondering, are there any good resident evil games for the htc Hero? I've seen some awesome one's on iphone and I used to have some fun Resi games on my old E71.
While I'm on the subject of gaming I have also downloaded the snesoid light and find the music and gaming a little sluggish. Is this just how it is or is there anything I can do to sort that? Would the full paid version work any better?
so i plugged my hdmi out into my evo and fired up ff2 on snesoid, ive tried this previously and got nothing, but today i got perfect sound out the tv, but the screen was still black. any word on when this will work or how? also any bluetooth snes controllers that work with evo?
okay a have a general idea of how to use an emulator. i have a list of games at my disposal. so when i find the game i want, i save it to a destination on my computer, then i mount my sd card through my phone, throw the game onto the sd card (anywhere) via my computer. then no matter if i unmount or stay mounted, ill run the emulator on my mytouch, search for where i put the game. click on it, then it will take me to a blank screen as if it wants to load the game. and since i have the free versions of these emulators i also see the ads at the bottom, so i know it didnt crash. it just isnt loading
I know that Gameboid has an option for Cheats and a place to input them, but does anyone know how this works/what kind of cheats you can enter? I saw an older thread about moving the save to a computer and using VBA because there was no cheat option at the time. But now that there is, how does it work?
I'm in the mood for a Good RPG or another kind of game like the old pokemon GameBoy games that you can play over an extended period. I just can't find any in the Android marketplace. Does anyone know of any good games like this?
Has anyone with an Evo 4G currently tried these game apps? I wanted to know how they run, and if the touch screen controls respond decently. Since the device has multi-touch I'm not to worried. These things running badly can be a deal breaker for me.
I recently purchased a HTC Evo and want to start installing more applications. SNESoid and other emulators would be awsome to have on my phone I just dont know how to go about it. Is there a tutorial out there or maybe someone can explain it really good to me. Thanks in advance.
How do i get roms to work on the snesoid emulator? I downloaded the emulator on my droid without any problem but everytime i try to download a rom it says "unsuccessful download". I've also tried to download them onto my mac and drag them onto my phone but it still won't work. Tips?
Ive been trying the snesoid app on my galaxy and ive found that using the trackball option is the easiest way to play. But its really annoying that you keep running, on the galaxy we got a real d-pad so is there any way of making your character only run when you press left or right? and not KEEP running.
I've still got a bunch of SNES carts like Contra 3, Mario RPG, Smash TV, and others. I know I can get the ROMs online, but my question is more which SNES games, in your opinion, are best on a touchscreen like the incredible? I tried Contra 3, but it really is unplayable...
So I'm interested in possible getting back into some old games using the GameBoid, SNESoid, and NESoid emulators available through the market! My concern is that previously when I would download PC roms & emulators the source sites were always loaded with smut, malicious software, and other goodies you surely want on your computers. Is this an issue with Android Roms? Where do you find Android Roms, can we get a list of sites that members here have had good luck finding quality roms without hassle? pls avoid Torrents, cause I don't use that so it wont help.
Im new to the forum so if my issue has been mentioned before I apologies, but I cant find it. Ive downloaded Snesoid for my HTC Desire, the thing is, when I view demos on YouTube of Snesoid running it has the screen positioned to the right and the controller d-pad to the left. You will know what I mean if you go to this link. Code...
Snesoid seems to solely rely on save state files and not on actual battery saves used on the original cartridges (.sav) files. These are also smaller in file size and using these instead of savestates makes it feel more like playing an SNES (not being able to use savestates) but relying on the games own way of saving your progress. These .srm battery saves are easy to find so it's much easier to load up my Super Mario Kart with special courses unlocked
Gameboid for GBA games uses the actual battery pack saves, .sav files...
So why isn't snesoid able to do this or am I doing something wrong? I use the Motorola Droid.
im trying to go back to stock gingerbread from ics. Waiting for the official release. I found an official stock gingerbread file but its a meT format? Can i still just put that in odin pdf and hit start and it will flash back to stock or do i need to convert? Samsung galaxy s2 skyrocket att
Is there any kind of "journal" app? What I meant, is an app that I can write something, then add photos, videos, record audios. Some kind like diary. In Windows Mobile, there is OneNote for this more or less.
Looking the doc with class SurfaceHolder is possible set the kind of surface format. I need to show images YCbCr_420_SP format. If I set YCbCr_420_SP format is not clear after how I can set the data. With Canvas object I can draw only bitmap format and not YCbCr_420_SP. Then my question is : can I draw directly on surface using YCbCr_420_SP data ? how ?
I have created a listview with simple list items. When i click on any of the list item a new activity is launched and therefore a new screen opens. But now i want that when i click on the list item i should have a kind of popup which has three options and depending on the option i click a new activity should be launched. Therefore in place of one activity i want an option of choosing one of the three activities depending upon what i chose in the pop up box. I should also have the flexibilty to design the pop up box the way i want.
When I get my activity chooser for my ACTION_GET_CONTENT Intent there is applications I don't want to be there, like the ones who will first create content and then pass the URI to me, like the Voice Recorder. When you use Gmail and try to attach a file you will only see the applications/activities that picks data from your SDCard like Gallery, and in my case Astro (file manager application).
So my question is, what kind of Intent does Gmail use for their Attach? Here is my code, something must be missing since I get applications like Voice Recorder and so on. Intent action = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_GET_CONTENT); action = action.setType("*/*").addCategory(Intent.CATEGORY_OPENABLE); startActivityForResult(Intent.createChooser(action, "Upload file from..."), 1);
its not that bad but in all honesty, I found it to be pretty bland and boring (almost ugly). It also lacks many nice features found on other phones with manufactuer overlays, (This is probably the biggest reason why they put those overlays on top of stock android). Obviously the best thing about it of course is the quicker updates (in most cases). But other than that, my experience with stock was not too fun compared to using now Launcher Pro overtop of just plain stock and even now over TW (I know, i know, people hate TW).
