My friend has an ipod. He has bought an FM transmitter for his Ipod which lets him play it through his radio by tuning into the set frequency. It worked reallywell. I am looking to get one of these and wanted to know if you can get them for HTC phones. I have seen the generic ones which plug into the earphone socket, but ideally wanted one which connected to the bottom of the my Desire via the micro USB so i had no wires anywhere. the Ipod/iphone one my mate has just clips onto the bottom using the charging port. Also, has anyone found a good site for HTC accessories?
I am wondering if anyone has found any good accessories?I have the t-mobile gel case and it blocks the edges of the screen when typing. Also I have searched for a screen protector and couldn't find one.I ended up using the cut to fit ones that suck.
Not to sure if you knew or not, but you're able to use the Motorola Media Link Software found on their site for free. This will allow you to sync your photos, video, and music (links with iTunes and playlists ). Here is the link. Motorola Media Link - Motorola USA

I've been having issues lately with Hotmail Mobile, and it was working fine up until about a week ago.I have troubles deleting emails. For instance, when I go to the "junk" folder, and click the box to highlight them all and then delete them, it will only put a check box in the very top email. And if I check them all individually and click delete, it won't delete. In fact delete doesn't work at all. Also, I can't open attachments. It just says "loading", and the little "circle hourglass thingy" keeps spinning around and around. Other than these issues, I can read my emails totally fine.I know that I can just go to the pc site instead of the mobile site, but I preferred the mobile one on my phone.
just wondering if anyone is having the same issues as me with YouTube. The audio and video with the built in app is slightly off sync, with the picture moving very slightly ahead of the audio. There is an issue with subscriptions where a few selected channels show 0 videos, and going in results in all videos bringing up an error Viewing the site through the web browser is great, with subscriptions showing fine with new videos, but the flash player is not up to speed and this time the picture is quite far ahead of the video, to the point where it isn't really watchable. I don't think its just me, and I hope there might be an update soon as I can't find a workaround.
I have now installed a generic HTC Desire Rom on my phone all good there. When i copy the rootupdate.zip and boot into recover mode and then run the recovery-windows.bat file , i get a Device Not Found message.I have USB debugging enabled and i also have the USB drivers installed from the SDK and the Sync software.Any ideas as to what i can try?
When we open some sites and read more details some stories, when we push back button, it's look the browser re open the current site. Is it possible if we push back button, the site will load instantly without reload to server?
I found bug in Android 2.1 which needs to be fixed in 2.2 version. Bug is in VPN PPTP android client which is not compiled with MMPE encryption enabled , and because of that it is impossible for HTC Desire and other phones using android 2.x to connect to pptp server because this is not enabled in android pptpd by default and because of that connection fails. There is solution for this requiring that you root your phone first than replace original pptpd and ip-up-vpn files with new compiled, but this is really not solution because we need that all this works for clients "out of box"
I tested VPN server from almost all OS-es and I can connect for any regular Windows PC (Vista, Windows 7 and XP) , from Mac-OS and even Iphone and Windows Mobile but not from my HTC Desire with Android 2.1.
Anyone know of a good RSS app with a widget (that allows you to specify your own feeds) that has the option to take up the entire screen, not just a single line? To be clear, I want an app with widget that can display on a screen, not an app that you have to browse to, then open, and then view a list of feeds. What I'm looking for is something like the native News app but something that actually works! I've tried to use that app before but it refuses to update properly even when I try to do a manual update.
Hey guys i have been using the Facebook for HTC sense upto a few weeks ago but the new update just takes me to the web facebook which does not let me sign in, So are there any other good facebook apps out there? Cheers =]
I need a pair of good earphones under US $50 (~ AED 150) to use with my Desire. I know there are a couple of threads for this, but they all recommend expensive ones.I've never shopped for earphones before, have always used the ones supplied with the devices. So what do I have to look for? The stock earphones are not great for noisy environments, so I would like something with noise isolation.
So after all the horror stories about battery life I was kinda worried about my new Desire especially as I am a full brightness, 3G loving kinda man. But having got the phone on saturday, I have found it quite good. I mean, I played with it almost constantly for about 8 hours, and I still had 30% charge left.
Normal usage would be maybe an 2 hours or so per day, so i don't think there is any danger I'm gonna run outta juice at work. Also, when sleeping, I don't seem to lose any battery power at all, despite the experiences of others. Anyone else think the battery problems are overblown?
I had an HTC Desire (actually I had 4) before I got a refund due to a whole host of technical problems. Given that the problems I encountered don't seem to be widespread (mostly concerning the vibrate mechanism failing), I am thinking I may have just got caught up in a bad batch and am considering trying again.I tried other phones but nothing really compares to the Desire at the moment. The iPhone 4 looks nicer, but the OS bores me to death and it seems there are far more technical problems with the iPhone than the Desire at the moment.I have looked around for other upcoming phones and, aside from the Evo 4g which is not in the UK, I can see no other alternatives to the desire. Am I missing any other options?I don't consider the Galaxy S an alternative as it looks and feels like a cheap plastic toy.
I got desire. Awesome phone. My question is regarding headset you get with the phone. Like every other headset I got with phone it appears to have music control buttons but they won't work with music application that's built in to the phone. What I mean exactly is non of the button on headset does anything like pause/play, forward or backward however it does work for hanning up calls u make. Is it suppose to not work with music or something wrong with mine?
Don't get me wrong, I didn't get a desire for gaming (i think we have got a long way to go before Android is a viable gaming platform), but I am sometimes surprised by the Desire's inability to run some games properly. Snapdragon processors seem very good at number crunching, but struggle with graphics. Look at the Quake 2 comparison of the Galaxy S and the Desire. of course, the Galaxy S is going to win, but I was surprised just how bad the Desire game out. can't have been more than 3-5 frames per second. I have seen this in other areas to, like the recent Sims 3 conversion for Snapdragon processors. Again, once things get a bit busy on the screen, the snapdragon simply starts to drop a ton of frames. So, are we seeing devs not optimising games for snapdragon processors? Or are snapdragons simply no good for games? That said, raging thunder 2 runs quite well. Like I said, this is more out of interest than anything else. Really like the Desire and never intended to do much 3d gaming on it, but some early results have been a little disappointing.
I have a question about the headphones supplied with the Desire. I've not got mine yet, but are they any good? I normally use sennheiser CX300 II's, are they as good as these or better? I need to get some more headphones as mine are knackered. I was going to order a pair of CX300's for when my Desire arrives, but if the ones supplied are as good, then I'll not bother and save the $$$.
I have the Dolphin widget but it's poor.Does anyone have any good widgets out there that will allow you to put bookmarks in the order you want them etc?Searched the market and there are no that many it seems.
First of all, sorry to the administrator for already posting this thread in the wrong section (Tips and tricks) Question: Have you ever tried to make a videorecording when you're at a concert? (I'm not speaking about a classical concert!) I did and the result was horrible for the sound part Is there a trick when I want a good quality audio?
