I have an app with some 3rd-party jar references. When building in Eclipse, those .properties files in the jars are included in the generated apk with the help of ADT plugins. And the structure of the apk would look like as below...
How I can extract the .zip ROM file from an Android phone. The best I could find were people that were doing a backup of there phone (I don't know if they are .zip or not). But I want to somehow extract the .zip from the phone and be able to flash like a custom ROM.
Anyone else having issues with the epic extracting zip files? Whenever I download a zip file it always tells me the archive is corrupted...doesn't matter what app I use to view it...tried using Astro and a free zip viewer app but the archives are incomplete...and when I try to send it to my pc to open it I get the same problem.
Guessing the browser is downloading zip files incorrectly?
I have XTouch X507S it is MTK6577 http:[url]..... and I want to compile AOSP 4.2.2 to it, I've successfully unlocked the bootloader, and ported a TWRP but I want to know how to extract device proprietary files?
I have been at this for hours, but to no avail. I have been trying to root my GS2 with CF Root, but I can not get the tar file, instead, I see a zImage file. I am not extracting the tar to get the zImage. The zImage is what is there originally. I have tried multiple sources of CF Root, but get the same problem.
i want to know if there is a way to extract a .kdz file to have the apps that are inside it,i need it to do so ,because i deleted some libraries and i dont have a backup ,cause there is not cwm recovery for this phone, and yes,i know i should have made a copy of the files with root explorer to the sd card, but i totally forgot it.
I'm looking for the best method (concise and easy) to download .rar files, with the ability to specify the download location namely my SD card, and a method of extracting the .rar files (some of which are password protected). I have an unrooted Droid x2.
i have a huawei ideos x5 pro. Huawei releases upgrades for my phone in the form of update.app files. how to extract the contents of these files? I would like to get the system apps like camera, bluetooth etc.. but i cant seem to extract the update.app file..
In my Android app I need to extract data from a xml file (the file will have less than 2000 lines). I have no experience with XML parsing, so I don't know what the best approach is. DOM parser is perhaps not a good option, because I am on a mobile device. On the other hand with SAX I would probably end with more complicated code. What would you recommend?
I am having some difficulties with customizing my rk2918 based tablet. I managed to download the original firmware and it is in .img format. Now I have managed to take apart the single .img file into multiple .img files, customized and rooted it with dsixda's kitchen and rebuild the ROM. Now my question is, can I somehow convert the zipped package back into the multiple .img files, or even into the single .img file so I can flash it with RKupdate or RKbatchtool? How to extract image files......
I lost my phone. I forgot to note down the IMEI number. However i took TWRP backup of EFS Partition. I can open the EFS partition file through winzip software in my computer and see various files (like nv_data.bin etc). I want to find out the IMEI number from the backup.
How to extract the IMEI number from my computer from the backup of EFS Partition files?
Seems that for some reason I cant put the 2.2 OTA on my X...It comes back with an error that mentions the build.prop when doing the Checking Version step...
Verifying current system assert failed: apply_patch_check("/system/build.prop","76f714f20045407075a08d1f8634dbadf6891 66c5","448243fe4bdffdd0818e81286821889880d37752") E:Error in /cache/Blur_Version.1.13.604.MB810.Verizon.en.US.zip (Status 7) Installation aborted.
So I'm guessing that the changes I made in the build.prop file are stopping the update...I put the original back, but notice the file date is different (Yestedays date) than what the original should be...
Wondering if I can extract the original build.prop file from the SBF and put that down without doing the whole reflash...
If not, anyone have a stock 2.1 build.prop file they can Email me so I dont have to SBF and loose everything I have setup now?
i have problem with opening files. this.res=imsLoader.context.getResources(); this.context=imsLoader.context; InputStream istream=null; istream=res.openRawResource(R.raw.l6); //->> it works correcty that file is on res/raw/l6.lvl istream=context.openFileInput("l3.lvl"); // it give me FileNotFound exception istream=context. openFileInput("l"+level+".lvl"); // it give me FileNotFound exception
I rooted my Droid Continuum with z4Root and it worked perfectly. I am wondering if there is a way to change the file permissions of my internal files so that I can do some of my own changes? Is there any app that will allow this or something? Will BusyBox do this for me??
Friends, My application has to get current gps position in every seconds and write this data as byte array to a file in files directory. To check the data in that file I tried to open mnually. But i couldn't open. How can i read the file. The file is a text file
I'm starting out and trying to unzip a zip file back to source. I'm using this code, my source is call "/mint/sdcard/Out.zip" to output "/mnt/sdcard/Out.text" and it seems to work. Now, if I have many files in Out.zip how do I automatically unzip all files individually with the correct filename without creating Out.text and then write onto it?
1) I am using Eclipse IDE and Android SDK 2.1 for my application. My application reads some data files from the File System, so using DDMS i push all the files in "/data/data/com.mypackage/" folder and run my application on emulator. I am able to see my desired output properly on the emulator.
2) Now i have Android device and i don't know how to push the files in the Internal memory of the phone. I have installed driver CD. But it only shows me the SD card directory.
3) Actually what i want is that the moment my application is installed and run it should read the data files from the file system. So there should be no added efforts to push the files in the file system.
4)Means can i pack my data files with my .apk file and when the apk is getting installed can the data files be placed directly in the internal memory(file system) i.e. "/data/data/com.mypackage/" folder. Is this possible ?
