Does anyone know of any applications that would easily allow me to follow the Masters? I looked for some golf apps and there didn't look like there was anything useful. I have SportsTap, but am unsure how good that will work out.

How can an organization of their size and depth not conduct the due diligence to realize that marketing, selling, and supporting Android devices is not the same as selling new BlackBerry 8330s?
If we, as Android owners, were content with the shit OS that RIM offers, we would all be punching away on archaic devices with no HTML support.
Instead, we're punching away on state-of-the-art devices with no vendor support. I am not sure which is worse.
I predict a brewing storm for Verizon and, for that matter, Sprint and others who lackadaisically and sluggishly provide software and hardware support for these devices. Many Android devices are running 1GHz processors because we end users are not inherently patient and we like snappiness. Too bad the snappiness only exists in our phones.
Where are the Google IO 2010 videos? So many Android-related cool sessions and they'll be restricted just the fortunate guys who were there? I'm looking forward to watch them.

Is there any chance that PowerPoint, KeyNote or PDF versions of the presentations could be posted somewhere on the Android Development website? I bet a lot of work went into those presentations. I know they contain lots of valuable information. It makes sense to make that information available to all Android developers.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm brand new to the Android world and, in fact, don't even have a phone yet. However, I'll be picking up the LG Optimus S w/Sprint in the next day or so. All my information (email, calendar, contacts, notes, etc) are all managed in Outlook (stand alone, not Exchange). I've been told that there's no way to sync directly from Outlook to an Android phone so I'm looking for the cheapest way to accomplish that and have good results.
My emails come through Gmail so that part is already done. I use Google's Calendar Sync program so my calendar is already in my Gmail account so that is also done. The contacts and notes are only in Outlook so that's where my main question lies..........
I'm wanting to allow Pattern unlock to users with Android devices but not allow users to not set a secure unlock type.
Right now I've enforced password requirements but that only allows pin based unlocks not pattern or face.
Are there any options to enable other types of unlock without removing security requirements at all within Exchange 2010?
It doesn't work with Outlook 2010!

View 45 Replies View RelatedI started using Exchange and a Windows Mobile device in 2003 which means I have suffered through that OS for over 7 years!! Now I have purchased the Evo, and must say I love the way it works except... It does not work well with Exchange. It appears that it will not sync calendar events (I get an error every time i try to sync). I called Sprint and they say it is a known issue and have no eta on a fix. It also does not have Task sync. I have tried TouchDown, but it appears it puts all your data in the TouchDown program and it is not accessible form the rest of the phone. What is the value of that?

I know it is possible for a java application to gain access to Microsoft Office PowerPoint's slideshow. I can enter all the info and it works (verifies account), but always "Fails to create account"... If anyone has insight, would be greatly appreciated! I can make whatever tweaks needed as I have full access to the phone and server.. It was working perfect on 2007

Upgraded last night to Office 2010 x64 and now Sync won't see my Desire - any reasons for this? I've not tried another USB port as yet so will do so later this evening but thought I'd see if anyone else has got it working.
This is the full retail Office 2010, not the beta/technical preview btw.
I just downloaded baseball superstars 2010. nice couple of features but the entire games is played lagging on my incr. anyone else having the same issue? i emailed the makers hopefully there's a fix.

View 1 Replies View RelatedDroid frg22d update stops syncing with exchange 2010 - Verizon Wireless Community. Apparently I'm not the only one with elevated frustration. Short version of the story:
- Spent hours on the phone w/Moto & Verizon explaining that my OG Droid will no longer connect to ActiveSync w/ Exchange 2010 SP1.
- Verizon & Moto both admit problem.
- Moto says they're working on it. Verizon says to pay $44.95 a month and it will work.
- If I hear one more "supervisor" tell me that it's my problem, and to either pay more, or use TouchDown ($20 app that sucks by the way) I am going to start a class action. Yes, I have the money, and no, I'm not bluffing.
- Please post your woes on this forum as I am starting a case # with the BBB on this matter and I need as much ammo. as possible.
I'm trying to run HTC Sync to share my contacts from outlook 2010 (beta) to the phone, yet HTC Sync tells me there are no contacts there. Is there any way to sync between the 2, or do I need to manually add them?

Then, I accidently bump the channel up button on my stearing wheel... and my mind exploded.
The channel up button on my wheel told Pandora to go to the next song!

Has anyone had any issues syncing 2010 microsoft outlook calendars on their droid incredible? When I first set it up it was super easy and had no issues (i was on 2007). Then my work computer got upgraded to 2010 and it worked for a bit and now the calendar won't sync correctly. Contacts and emails have no issues. I get an error message on my calendar though and only certain appointments sync. I tried to delete the account and reset it but each time I did that it double up appointments in my work computer outlook and still didn't get all appointments on my phone. Now I am afraid to try that again since it is a pain to delete all the duplicates.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWe just upgraded to Exchange 2010 at work, and all our other phones work just fine. Evo, iphones, other Droid models, so it's not the server. This one phone is the only one we have that is a Eris and we can't get it to sync contacts. I have tried to clear the calendar storage, nothing, redid the account, nothing. It gets email and contacts just not the calendar and has the ! next to the sync circle. If anyone can please tell me how to resolve this it would be great. Been searching for 2 days trying to figure it out.

I've asked HTC, and they say it don't work with 2010. If anybody knows a way of making it work with 2010. Alternatively, I'm considering buying Outlook 2007 to use instead. Does HTC Sync work with Outlook 2007? I want to sync contacts, calendars, and anything else it might sync!
