I posted this a few days ago but nobody can solve it and I know there must be a way. My problem is that whenever I go to type 'Yo' in a text, it automatically corrects it to 'To'. I'm guessing that I corrected this myself a while ago and now it has it saved. I already tried adding 'Yo' to my user dictionary but the problem persists. Is there really no way to change the default correction of a word?

I was chatting in MSN and somehow clicked some buttons by mistake. It activated somesort of word-guessing-system. I'm sorry, I don't even understand what it is. But basically it will popup a small bar where it asks to Add word? or something. I thought its spellchecker or something like that.. Anyway, I don't remember what i pressed and there is no option in MSN for it. Using Windows Mobile 6.5 Pro.

One issue though, which I think may have more to do with the Android OS, is setting Documents to Go as the default fro opening Word/Excel/PDF/PPT files. When I try to open a Word Document (using ASTRO, DroidBox, or anything else) it asks me what app to use. The list has "Documents to Go" and "QuickOffice". If I pick "Word to Go", and tell it to use that as the default, it works. However if I then try to open a different file type (say an Excel file) it attempts to open it with Word to Go and obviously gives an error about it being the wrong/unsupported file. If I remove Word to Go as the default handler, I can then go back to the Excel file, attempt to open it, and select Sheets to Go, it works. So, first, how do I remove QuickOffice as an option (it shows up under Manage Apps, but there is no option to remove it)? Second, how do I set Word to Go as the default for .doc/.docx file types, Sheets to Go the default for .xls/.xlsx?
View 10 Replies View RelatedWhile it is possible to edit text or type in Docs to Go and QuickOffice, to get to the edit mode is a PITA. The default in Docs to Go is Zoom in or out? WTF. You have to got to menu and toggle the keyboard to be able to add or edit text.
Is there a good notepad or word processing program that defaults to keyboard input? Better yet is there one that also allows highlighting text to cut, copy or paste?
I am loving swype, especially since I only have one arm (the others in a cast). Is anyone else having issues with the word list not popping up when you double click on a word? This has never worked for me. I have the newest version.

Now I found one very curious issue, If I can access internet (WIFI, 3G), and change date/time 2010 year to 2011 year, after while, system automaticlly update my date/time 2011 to 2010 year. In fact I had disable the "automatic update date/time" function in setting.

My EditText needs to accept input consisting of partial words, names, etc. At least on my HTC Desire, this is difficult since the keyboard wants to suggest and/or correct some entries (e.g., changes "gor" to "for"). I tried setting textNoSuggestions on the view, but that doesn't fix it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just synced with app brain and immediately afterwords received about 7 messages saying my credit card was billed. i was able to stop 3 of them. (by the way this was app that i didn't buy, have on my phone, or ever even heard of for that matter) now verizon is telling me that the only way to change the default account is to do a hard reset, which we all know, but then also said that unless i put the original account back on the phone, i wont be able to get the apps that I DID pay for, without buying them again....THAT is bullshit! the apps should be associated with the phone number, not a freaking email account. does anyone know if there is anyways around this?

My ant script copies AndroidManifest.xml, res and assets dirs for a particular app prior to kicking off the build. This approach works great if all the apps have the same application package name. However, I want to be able to install more than one app from this common code base, so I must change the application package name. If I change the package names in each AndroidManifest.xml, then R.java gets generated with the new package name. This causes all my references to the resources constants in my common code base to throw an error. It would be great if I could specify the package name I want aapt to use when generating R.java. Does anyone know if this is possible?

(...and remain highlighted) The default behavior, simply highlights the item for a moment, and it gradually fades to black... Currently, the highlighting only happens when we use the DPad...
