I'm using the stock email application on my Inc. Is there a way to create additional folders? I would like to create a 'saved' folder to keep certain emails in. I can't seem to find a way to do this. I'm wondering if any of the other email apps (K9) can do this.View 2 Replies View Related
Setting up my email account was easy to do. I'm having a problem (or I'm not understanding) the email app that came with the phone. I only see three folders
How do I create additional folders? Also, how do I get all my emails in my inbox to display?? I am only seeing the recent emails, or the ones that were just received. I need to be able to see the emails from earlier today, yesterday, last week, etc..... How do I do this? Can emails be stored to the card? Can we change the text setting from an html format to just a standard text format? Where can I find a the complete instructions on the email app?
Does anyone know of a way to create and name new folders within the gallery, and transfer pictures to said gallery? Is there an app that can do this? I would like to be able to better organize all of my pictures rather than having all of them lumped into one folder. Such as a folder for kids, vacation, etc......View 1 Replies View Related

Is it possible to create folders and put apps in those folders on an Incredible?
I'm an android newbie, and I would like to create some folders-games, weather, maps, etc. and put corresponding apps in those folders. I would like to place those folders on my homescreen.
Is this possible and if it is, which app would I need to do that. I've had my DInc since they came out and it's totally stock. I haven't gotten the froyo update yet.
Some background info: I have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus, so no SD-Card. Rooted, running Paranormal Android.
So what started bugging me lately is the fact that android just places folders created by apps in my main storage, which ironically is called /sdcard/.
Is there a way to create a folder, for instance: ProgramFiles, and make android place all folders made by apps in that folder? That way only my Music, Movies folder etc would stay in the main storage.
I've seen a few posts about this but nothing to say definitively (thank god for spell check!) if it's possible or not. On my HTC Legend (HTC Sense with Android 2.1) if you go to add and folder from a homescreen you have a choice of All people, Facebook Phonebook, Phones, Starred (Favorites). Is it possible to create another folder that will hold members of a contact group that I have created? I can create a new empty folder but don't know how to put contacts into this instead of other home screen icons (this would do if I can't use contact groups).View 1 Replies View Related

What I need to do with my Incredible is so simple and I am really amazed that this phone's photo application is as bad as it is. I have about 100 photos. I need to put them into individual folders or albums (I just need a way to separate them). I have tried everything but it does not appear as though the Incredible has this capability. I did a search and found some instructions using Astro file manager however this did not work for me. Therefore, is there any decent apps out there that will allow me to create folders (or albums) and put pics into them? I also need to somehow backup the photos (probably directly off of the SD card onto my PC).View 7 Replies View Related
I bought a new 8gb transcend class 6 for my hero and took out the old card and put the new one in and formatted it. Looked at the original 2 gb card and has lots of folders. Question is: do I have to copy and paste the old folders to the new card or will the phone automatically set up new folders? Phone's relatively new so I don't care about the existing photos and whatnot and do I create specific folders myself i.e. mp3, pics, etc.View 1 Replies View Related

How to - create custom icons for folders or add shortcuts into App Organizer Groups
I've been playing around with the App Organizer, and been putting things into folders. However, I am trying to do a few things.
Add shortcuts into the groups App Organizer creates, and/or create custom icons for Folders I put on the Home pages.
For example, I have 6 mail accounts (don't ask) and want to put them in a group called mail. Using AppOrganizer, I can only organizer the main mail icon into the group, I want to add the 5 other shortcuts I created for each account. OR I group them into a folder, but I want to change the folder icon to an envelope.
Also, anyone know any good apps that puts email notifications on the top taskbar?
I am stuck at a place when I was using Linkify to create Link an email id to the Android email app.
I have a large sentence in a textview which has an email id. On clicking on it, it opens my android email app. But The problem is that, I cannot add any subject or message in the mail. Is there any way of doing this using linkify ? Or do I have to use any other way for doing this. I initially used a textview which had just the email id, from which I could add the subject and message, but i will have to keep the email id in a separate line. I want the entire line in the textview where the email id comes in the middle of the sentence.
I am currently doing like this:

On the applications screen, (the one which you drag up from the bottom of the home screen), is there any way to create folders there and re-organise the position of apps? I know that you can create folders on the home screens, but this isn't what I want to do. I would love to be able to create a folder that I can dump all of the programs I will never use but which Sony will not allow me to delete, (you know the ones - moxier etc!!)View 6 Replies View Related
I usually view email with attachments from my pc because I usually lack the time to download the attachment. Today, I had some spare time so I tried to download an attachment. It downloaded fine but when I went to view it, I received a pop-up box to save it to the sd card. After pressing ok, I was told the save was successful but now I can't find it. Aside from pics and videos, how do I access other folders with saved data?View 6 Replies View Related
Is there any way to create a notification when a new e-mail arrives in my Android inbox? I would like to show an animation when I receive a new e-mail or SMS - would this be possible without writing my own e-mail client? I'd also like to be able to customize the notifications based on who the sender is, the subject line, etc - basically, the same sort of criteria I can use to filter a message using any of the big existing clients.View 2 Replies View Related

A user is viewing content/page on my View/Activity, and I have an email button, they select "email" and popup a prefilled in email/ subject asking for the to: address....or some way to launch teh default email client with a pre-composed email awaiting the sender to be filled in.. . .ala, "check out this link/content'....

I have the D Inc and have a question. Is there anyone to create filters in Active Sync Exchange that filters out emails so they don't hit your Inc. I have a rule setup in Outlook that automatically sends an email sent by a specific email address to go directly to my deleted items in my Personal Folders in Outlook 2007. The reason why i ask is because on my BB Storm, I setup a filter that blocked these emails from going to my BB In box. I also remember on my Moto Q with Win Mobile I always also able to setup a filter as well. I work at a help desk with a ticket tracking system, the system sends an email for every ticket opened by the help desk to all help desk employees, so my in box can fill up quite quickly. I did notice that if I have Outlook opened up on my desktop these emails do not show up on my D Inc, but when I close Outlook (Like I did last night before I went home), they are showing up today on my Inc.View 6 Replies View Related

In the WinMo world I could have copied the folder with the executable and data files and changed the registry to be able to organize most of my stuff on the sd card. (of course some apps didnt play nice but 90% of the stuff did)
This is one thing that really bugs me. Im looking for a way to change the location of where an app writes is directories... Ill give you a real world example...
This is how apps are writing to the sd now...
sdcard -- PicSayPro
What we need, is a way to change it so apps would write into folders like this.
sdcard -- media -- PicSayPro
--------- games -- game1
--------- exfolder -- ex1
