How do I extend the number of rings when someone calls me on my HTC Desire?
It goes to voicemail far too early, but I cant see how to change it in settings at all.
Since this phone takes about 3 rings for us to hear it... is their a way to change how many rings before your voice mail picks up? It seems like sometimes i only have about 2 seconds to answer before the person has been sent to my VM.View 13 Replies View Related

I don't like how the phone rings through my music when I am streaming or playing music. On my BB, I could stop it from ringing. Anyone have an idea without turning off the mobile network?View 3 Replies View Related
My Incredible usually just rings once. If I pick it up, it says the person is still calling, but the phone isn't ringing. There's some setting about stop ringing when you pick it up. I do not have that set, so it should keep ringing to matter what.It is not consistent. Sometimes it just rings once.View 5 Replies View Related
Had the Hero for 3 weeks now, and love it. Much nicer than the IPhone Just one issue I have had with it. When someone phones, I tend to only have about 2 rings to answer it before it goes to voicemail. When I tested trying to phone it myself from another phone, it rang 3 times on the phone I was rinigng it from before my Hero made any sign of life. On the 4th ring the LED started flashing and on the 5th ring it started making a noise. By th 7th ring the voicemail had kicked in.Why does it take 3 rings before the phone starts doing something? It seems like its the software just taking a moment to work out whats going on. I'm running the latest ROM however it was the same on the older one too.View 2 Replies View Related
Occasionally, a couple times a month, my Moto Droid will ring, the phone app pops up... but there are no sliders to answer. It rings and rings, and about the time that it's going to go to VM, the sliders will finally appear. Sometimes I miss the call, other times I can get it. More often, it will ring, and either the phone app doesn't show up at all, or it shows up but then disappears (phone goes black). I have to manually unlock the phone (I have gesture security), and then I can usually get to it. if the phone has gone black, I fumble around with hitting the power button, shaking it (I have screebl), touching the screen and finally the gesture screen comes up. Kinda feels like multitasking/processor priority issues they haven't elegantly worked out yet, but I wanted to see if this sounded familiar. Any apps that make it so that when the phone rings, processor priority is handed to the phone? I don't see the app killing other apps, just downgrading their priority to (nearly) zero until you're done with your call, or even just until you have answered your call. The flaw is just in the answering part. When a call comes in, I want my *phone* to be super responsive to that *phone* part of things, y'know?View 3 Replies View Related
And then it hangs up before I can answer it.What's with that? I can't see a setting to change how long the bloody thing rings for, either.I have a song from the sd card set as my ringtone, but it's about two minutes long so it can't be that.View 2 Replies View Related
I answer the phone and the audiobook or podcast keeps playing, so when my phone calls is over, I miss that audio. I wish it would auto pause the audiobook when the phone rings. Is there an app for that?View 1 Replies View Related
My Droid Incredible will only ring once sometimes. I've tried custom ringtones, default ringtones, I made sure that it is not set to "Quiet on Pickup (or whatever)". It's not like it goes to voicemail or gets cut off, when I look at the screen, the caller is still there, waiting. I answer it and everything goes fine with the phone call. The problem is my work requires me to be on call alot, and if I don't hear my phone ring that first time, I may not get another ring. It typically only occurs when it is laying on a flat surface, face down but it doesn't happen everytime it is in this position. It used to happen less than once a day, it now happens more often. Today it happened three times before lunch.Anyone know how to experience this or know how to fix it? Verizon had me do the whole *228 thing. it didn't help at all. I'm on the verge of fully resetting my phone,View 7 Replies View Related

I got my Inc about 2 months ago and at first I thought this was just a fluke, but it's happening all the time. Basically, if my phone is sitting flat on my desk and I get a call, the phone will ring for about a second before going silent. It still vibrates and still wants me to answer the call, but the ringtones have stop.
I even experienced this today driving in to work. The phone was sitting on my leg when I got a call. Same problem. Rang for a second and then silent. If I am holding it or it's in my pocket, it seems to ring without any problems. That "silent ring on pickup" or whatever option in the settings is not selected and I don't believe I have any sort of app installed that controls the volume of the phone.
I've had the DroidX a couple of weeks. This morning it stopped ringing on incoming phone calls. It does vibrate. Last time it rang is when I was playing with settings to have it stop ringing when I place if face down. I've undone that facedown setting. Ringer is ON. I've cycled it on/vibrate/off and back ON. Silent Mode is OFF Phone Vibrate is OFF Audible touch tones is ON and I hear tones on phone keypad Volume is Audible.I can select and listen to my ringer tune.View 13 Replies View Related
Is it possible to change notification rings to an mp3 or other type of audioView 3 Replies View Related
Often my Droid will only ring one time for an incoming call. If the call is left unanswered it is auto-answered after a "normal" amount of time. But I can watch the screen of my quiet Droid after the initial ring and count the seconds until it's auto-answered with my recorded greeting. It should be ringing during that time.
It seems to do this randomly, though it's really tough to troubleshoot and tell definitively. I sat for two hours with my wife's Droid, my laptop phone program and our regular house phone and got consistently inconsistent results!
I've yanked every phone call specific app and reinstalled them systematically, rebooting each time. I've taken a look at system apps to see if there is a conflict. I've also looked at (and pulled & reinstalled) audio setting apps looking for a conflict.
I've changed ring tones to MP3 clips, and while they do play in their entirety, they usually repeat and they are not. I've even done a hack to the system/build.prop file that changes the delay before the phone rings.
I just can't seem to figure out what's going on. Anyone have any ideas?
Ok so I have my Gmail all set up on my Droid X and it works awesome. What I want to do is assign a specific ring to a specific email address. I would like it so when I get an email from that person it has a different ring than the other. Is there anyway to do this?View 5 Replies View Related
I've looked for an answer through out the forum but did not find one if I overlooked it sorry. But the problem I have is even when I set my phone to silent or vibrate it still has and audible ring. Email and other notifications are silent but the ring isnt. I use home++ and stock home and it does the same thing. I can set it to silent using the stock silent or using ringer widgets. I will try anything, Ive had way to many embarrassing moments with Chris Brown playing during quiet time.View 4 Replies View Related

How do I go about putting the CM7 rings lockscreen in stock? i.e. what lines do I need to code in what file, images I need to replace, etc.?
I also have a CM7 ROM zip for another phone with the same specs on my computer for comparison.
Has anyone been able to adjust the amount of rings on their phone? My phone rings about 6 times before it goes to voicemail but my girlfriend's phone rings only 4 times. I brought both numbers over from T-Mobile where they each rang about 4 times but now w/Verizon mine went up to 6. Tried calling tech support about it and they said there wasn't a setting for this on the phone itself and they gave me an answer like some phones just tend to connect to the network faster.View 15 Replies View Related
So when I get an incoming call, my droid-X rings instead of my car stereo. I have the car stereo set to ring, but it does not. So I constantly miss calls in my car to the point where I may as well not even have a bluetooth stereo. In California, we can't talk on the phone and drive so it's killing me that this does not work after investing money into the system.
Never had a problem on my blackberry. Basically if I have the stereo on, I'm not going to hear my phone ringing, I guess I could set it to auto answer (not sure if that works yet either) but I like to see the number from who is calling first on my CD Player's face.
when I put the ringer on vibrate it only vibrates when my phone rings, text, email or anything all just remain silent. How do I change it where everything I get makes my phone Vibrate?View 14 Replies View Related

I've experienced two problems with Google Voice that are causing me to get charged minutes I wouldn't usually get charged. If I can't solve them, I'll have to go back to using my Verizon number. First, let me say that I'm using a new Google Voice number that isn't Verizon cell phone number or any other preexisting number. Second, my girlfriend is on my family plan, but she doesn't have GV yet. We're using the 700-minute plan, so we don't have a friends circle.
Problem 1: When I call my girlfriend's Verizon wireless phone using the GV on my Verizon phone, I get charged, and when she calls my GV number on my Verizon Wireless phone from her Verizon wireless phone, she gets charged. We don't cash in on our free in-network calling. I know, this should have been obvious, but it just never occurred to me until after I looked at the bill. I'd be able to work with that, though, and just select "Call without using Google Voice" or whatever when calling her if it weren't for the second problem. When people call my Google Voice number, I get charged when I don't answer. Usually, it's just a one-minute charge, but sometimes it's two or three minutes (don't know why). With anything less than an unlimited plan, minutes count. Not good.
from time to time, when my phone rings the option to answer it is not appearing. even when I unlock the phone there is no option. i don't have any live wallpaper. I wonder if Launcher Pro is causing the problemView 3 Replies View Related
Is anyone else having this problem? I am using launcher pro, but I don't think that makes a difference. I am at wits end with this problem. Unless I am expecting a phone call, and have the phone in my hand, it is impossible to answer a call before it goes to voicemail.View 3 Replies View Related

Been loving my new DHD however have this intermittent problem when making a phonecall all i get is a single beep and 'call ending' message. Today while outdoors it just refused to connect but working ok now.
It rings once at the receiver then cuts off so I was told.
I have plenty of signal and the person I'm calling can call me back after getting the one ring and wondering whats going on after the I've tried several times!
The phone begins to ring and will ring for maybe a second, the screen lights up for me to answer, then it goes back to home screen and ring stops. A missed call notification shows up and then immediately begins to ring again...this only takes maybe a second... it does this over and over, showing up to 12 missed calls for one call. I have tried factory ringtones and downloaded, it does not discriminate.View 1 Replies View Related
I would like to forward all calls to my number on to the new predefined number automatically. Is it possible to forward incoming call? Probably it is possible for Froyo at least. I found application called Easy Call Forwarding. But many people reckon it dosen't work actually. We can notice forwarded call by onCallForwardingIndicatorChanged() from PhoneStateListener but I have no idea how to set forwarding mode.View 1 Replies View Related
Basically, i use my personal cell phone for work and personal use, i have multiple exchange accts that keep things sorted and seperated.
recently though i have been getting more and more business calls to my cell phone, during and outside of normal business hours.
what im looking for is an app that will take a selective group of contacts/phone numbers/CID strings and if it is a "business" call then forward it to a specific phone number (external number, the actual business line).
I have seen apps on the market and around that will forward calls to voicemail if they match certain filters, but i cant really seem to find an app that will forward to an external number. Any way I could accomplish this?
