How do you make light on status bar ( on the bottom of my Droid ) stay on longer ? It stays on for few seconds and if I don't touch it, goes dark. Is there any settings for that ? It's hard to use phone when it's dark outside.
Another question : Why can't I add my Yahoo account in too "Email" program ? I tells me that " Mailbox access is not supported for some types of Yahoo!"
I have the Motorola Droid and I would like to find a way to get my phone to vibrate when I get a new text message while I have the sounds off. I have my phone set to vibrate mode but it only vibrates when I get an incoming call. Verizon said this was normal but there might be an application to change alert settings and such.
Has anybody found a way to make the trackball blink for various other notifications other than SMS and eMail? I use google talk all the time and I would love to have the trackball light blink slowly (just like the normal alert for a waiting SMS message) when I receive a google talk message that I haven't read. Or how about gMail? They light up the notification led blinking green but there is no trackball notification. I'm actually quite surprised there doesn't seem to be any setting I can find to make the trackball blink for various notifications. My phone's already rooted so that should expand my options but I haven't found anybody that's done this yet.
I tried to make calls using skype light (beta) however... it rings to an unsual number and tells me that I dont have long distance or international service... So I installed Smoked Glass last v6. night and everything was fine. This morning everything was also fine, sent and received 20-30 texts and no issue. About 5 minutes ago I was trying to send a text and I kept getting a message not sent. So then I tried to make a phone call and I could not make a phone call ether. I can still access the internet though. I have 2-3 bars at all times.
Can this be related to me installing the ROM (nothing went wrong with instillation) I wiped all data, installed rom and then backed up with titanum. I have rebooted my phone a couple of times and nothing changed. I also just tried to make a call and it completely rebooted the phone.
I'm rooted but s is still on and nand is not unlocked. I'm running the stock rom.
I use to get little delays occasionally when I tried to make a phone call, and sometimes the keyboard was unresponsive when I tried to text. Always passed in a few minutes.
Now the thing is just lagging. delays all the time regardless of what I'm doing. I also get a message sometimes when I try to take pics saying I don't have file permissions for the sd card. A shutdown will usually resolve this.
Sometimes when I shutdown I can't restart it without popping the battery out for a few seconds.
I thought it might be related to an overclock widget I was trying so I deleted it without improvement.
I have a couple of questions about notifications on the Captivate.
1) My ringer, when someone calls me, starts off quiet for a few seconds then goes to full volume. The ringtone I have doesn't do that by itself, it must be a setting. Is there a way to make it ring full volume as soon as someone calls me?
2) Is there a way to make the phone vibrate when receiving a text message either while the phone is on vibrate or on normal volume.
In Android, I want to use a Spinner that initially (when the user has not made a selection yet) displays the text "Select One". When the user clicks the spinner, the list of items is displayed and the user selects one of the options. After the user has made a selection, the selected item is displayed in the Spinner instead of "Select One".Code...
After upgrading to KaosFroyo V38 and Conaps Kernal v6 I've now lost my trackball light when receiving text, phone calls, Ext, Did full wipe, Dalvik wipe, and flashed, what did I do wrong to lost the trackball light? it's worked on all versions prior.
I recently started playing with what people call "light painting" using my cell phone and tablet, and it can be fun... but, what I think would really be awesome is if I could pre-load an image, and have it 'paint' it as I move the device around. This is basically identical to the other light-painting apps, but none of them seem to offer this functionality.
I can just imagine some trippy picture I could make with this
Is there a setting in LP or any apps that would allow me to toggle off and on the soft keys when a new notification comes in? Anytime I get an email or text the soft keys stay lit until I check the message.
I am using handcent for my sms. i think it is great, i can customize it heaps how i want it. however there is an option for changing the colour/rate of the LED blink light for when i get a text, however no matter what i pick it never changes. the little light at the top always blinks every 4-5 seconds in a green colour when i have a new message, however i would love for it to blink blue every second (as i have tried to set it) so that i can differentiate the notifications from reminders and other notifications. is this a problem with the phone not doing wat it is supposed to, or the application isnt working? or a combination, maybe the desire doesnt have any other colours for its LED light?
The only thing that I've found that I dislike about this phone is the way it alerts you about new text messages. Is there a way to make your phones screen light up when you receive a text message? Also is there a way to set a reminder like every few minutes that you have a text message? Say if you receive a text message while you're away from the phone then two minutes later the phone vibrates or sounds to remind you that you have a new text.
These packages are alternative gapps. These Gapps should improve performance. On top of that all apps are up to date (like YouTube). Ultra Light version will also remove unnecessary preinstalled apps like yaam, DSP Audio Manager and so on (and some more gapps of course).
