Android : Dwight Howards Apps In Tmobile Commercial?
Apr 11, 2010
Watching the game right now, and saw the my touch commercial where he is exercising. Does anyone know what apps he is using? I'm really interested in the app that is counting his calories while he is doing crunches.
We've red the gmaps license agreement but it wasn't to clear for us if we can use that Gmaps API for a commercial Android application. Do you know any details regarding this subject? Do we have to pay some fee to Google if we want to use it inside a commercial application?
Under the terms of the Apache Public License, can I use some (graphic) resources in my commercial app? More specifically, in my (proprietary) Android app, I want to use some graphics from Android. Since Android is licensed under the Apache Public License, I downloaded the source and took the resources I wanted. But I was wondering, if I want to sell this app, or not release the source code, am I allowed? Do I have to put any notices in my app description?
I am going to T-Mobile tomorrow to get a new plan and I don't know what phone to get. I was considering the HTC HD2 but I don't know if I want to deal with WinMo. What would you say is the best Android phone in their lineup? I don't have a choice but this is all I can get, but price isn't an option.I'm looking forward to your thoughts.
When I run any application from Eclipse on my real G1 device (a retail one, this is not a dev phone), I am granted the READ_PHONE_STATE and WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE even if i don't declare them in the AndroidManisfest.xml. I actually can call TelephonyManager.getDeviceID () to retrieve the IMEI and I see these permissions in Settings -> Applications. I don't have this behavior in the emulator. Does anyone have the same "problem"?
I just wondered which frequency is OK to send whitespace keep alive packets onto a TCP connection to keep it alive on a T-Mobile 3G connectivity (the use case is to maintain an idle XMPP session alive). On SFR in France, we are disconnected if idle for 3 minutes, but I guess T-Mobile's timeout is lower. By the way there is a bug in the Smack library, the "keep alive" setting is not enforced, e.g. if you set it to 30s, in the worst case the whitespace will not be sent until the double of this time (60s).
i cant get my t mobile pulse to sync with the pc via the pc suite supplied. everytime i try i get no drivers found message i have since pointed it to were drivers are and managed to get access to memory card but still no sync with the pc suite. i did search but no similar problem was found.
I have searched, but cannot seem to find exactly what I'm looking for. I bought the phone unlocked so I'm not held down to their plans, so what do I choose? I want 750-1000 minutes I'd think ( I use around 800 now ) , have to hve unlimited everything else. Currently I have a Tmobile Sidekick LX with 1000 minutes, and unlimited everything and its 69.99 per month.
As we know, Verizon dropped the wireless part of their name and they have adopted this "Rule the Air" thing. I saw a commercial earlier and I wanted to know the phone they were showing in the commercial was it a Droid X? Has anyone seen the commercial? I think it was a Droid x because the electronics around the street were becoming animated and moving around and plus the phone in the person's hand looked way to big to be any of verizons other current phones. Idk lol maybe i am just anxious for the X
1. Make sure all of your contacts from your current phone are synced up with Outlook. 2. Goto File 3. Import and Export 4. Select "Export to a file" and Click Next 5. Select "Comma Seperated Values (Windows)" and click Next 6. Select Contacts and click Next 7. Choose a destination for the file to be saved and click next 8. Click Finished
If you have excel or a spreadsheet program, go ahead and open the file. In the last name field make sure that each person either has a last name or has some letter in the field or they will not import correctly. They will just end up showing up with a phone number w/o a name. After doing this, resave the file........
I am watching the Lakers vs OKC and just saw my first DInc commercial. Just a short one that is a carryover of the other DROID commercials. Didn't even really show the phone. Just more of the robotic sounds and futuristic visuals.
Has anyone tried the cancellation method for getting an alternate android phone from tmobile?(you know, when you say, I'm sooo upset with my phone that I'm going to cancel my phone service, and they say "Is there anything we can do to make it better" and we say, "Yes, get me another android phone", and they say, "OK")
I'm interested in developing an android app that makes use of an OpenCV android port. Particularly, I want to use SURF features which comes embedded in the OpenCV framework but I'm not sure if then I will be able to sell this app. anyway, is there any non-free app making use of any of the OpenCV android ports?
I bought an unbranded tattoo and stuck my Tmobile sim in it. Received my first mms this morning informing me that I had to download the picture from tmobile.Rang tmobile who would only email me thesettings to manually input as the phone was not supplied by them.Ive tried to input these into the APN settings in Android but have made things worse and now i dont receive anything when Im sent an mms. This is what ive got in my mms settings at the mo (exactly as laid out in the settings screen Name: T-MobilePictureMessage APN : general.t-mobile.uk Proxy : 220.127.116.11 Port : 8080 Username : user Password : one2one server : not set mmsc : http://mmsc.t-mobile.co.uk:8002 mms proxy : 18.104.22.168 mms port : 8080 mms protocol : wap2.0 mcc : 234 mnc : 30 authentication : CHAP Apn type : mms Is anyone out there on tmobile and if so can they have a look at their settings and tell me where ive gone wrong
Can we use the applications that released with Android Open Source Project in our commercial products? For example, the "Browser" and the "Contacts". And I also found some demo applications in SDKSamples, like Home and NotePad, can them be used for commercial products? Do we need to pay extra license fee for using these open source applications?
I just saw a commercial for the Chase Real Cash Debit Card and in the scene where the guy is standing at the counter and his phone rings, he pulls out a MotoDroid! Just thought I'd share this. I think that it's cool that we are finally seeing Android phones in other commercials. I still haven't seen one in a TV show or movie yet, but I'm sure it's only time before I do. I tried finding the commercial with google, but I guess it's just too new of a commercial to be on the internet yet.
My phone just randomly started playing a "commercial"? for some McAfee Deep something product, talking about phone secrutiy and stealth attacks and how attacks now start at the kernel level? There was no video playing, I was on my home screen while the sound was coming out.
I started closing apps 1 by 1 to see if it would stop. First I thought it was pulse, so closed it first, then Google Chrome and nothing. I ended up closing all of my apps and it was still playing!
