I am trying to save battery and speed up my phone. I know that I can in to setting to disable all these extra features, but I heard from someone that, "even though you disabled it, the phone will still continue to try to pick up these services, like 3G). Is there a app that will fully disable these features?
Also is there anyway up speeding up my phone. I have a Rooted T-Mobile MyTouch 3G w/ the CyanogenMod 4.2.13. I heard that there is a "10MB Hack", but I also heard that it will slow down your games.

Strange problem here with my Gadmei E8 3D tablet running ICS as I can install the usual Bluetooth GPS apps and connect to my Qstarz Bluetooth GPS and get a signal but that data doesn't make it to GPS apps or utils...I did enable mock locations in /settings/developper.
I have been using Evo as my primary phone for 2 weeks and I do not see any battery problems. Am I the exception?
I am a heavy user with about 70 texts, 20-30 emails per day, 1-1.5hour phone usage, occasional web surfing (1-1.5hour), listening to music (30min morning + 30min evening), GPS on all the time (but no GPS using apps running), Facebook and Sense. I didn't turn on Bluetooth or Wifi or 4G. This is a typical day for me. With this kind of usage my battery easily lasts the whole day and well into the night.
I'm new to Android. I recently was an iPhone fan but thought that Android was a better alternative to iPhone. So anyway, I have a few questions about the Captivate. Does Android have support for apps that you can use to password protect certain apps on the phone? Like messages, and photos for more private stuff. Another question I have: is the Captivates reception really bad? I currently have the iPhone 4 while it doesn't have the best of signal, its not too bad either. And my last question is if the captivate has support for 32gb cards. I'm sorry if someones already gone over these but I could find anything right away. Anyways, I look forward to Android and the Captivate.
I'm wondering if its possible to use the android as a bluetooth keyboard.

As we know, bluetooth-related APIs was not included until version 2.0. And the current condition is Droid is the only 2.0-supported choice. I've known there are many kinds of unofficial 2.0 build, but are they stable enought to program? Does anybody has the experiences of programming bluetooth on a non-Droid handset? What is it, and what is the version of your OS? Did you hear of whether G1/magic/hero/tattoo is going to support eclair officially or not?
I know that android sdk 2.0 has provided the new bluetooth API for developers. But I'm not sure if this can help me connect to bluetooth printers. Are there any protocol restrictions or device limitaion for this? Is it possible that the bluetooth device is undetectable by android phone?
Is it possible to sync the photos I take on my phone with a folder on my PC via bluetooth? Or is there any possible way of taking a photo and uploading it to a site like Flicker and for it then to automatically download it and put it in a folder on my PC?
I'm trying to register the phone as a HID device through bluetooth. So far I did the following - Created a BluetoothServerSocket with bluetoothAdapter.listenUsingRfcommWithServiceRecord("Any name", "00001124-0000-1000-8000-00805f9b34fb"). The UUID is the standard one for HID devices. - Paired the phone with a Windows PC - The phone is recognized as "Bluetooth HID device, but I get the error "Device driver software was not successfully installed"
Does anyone know what steps can be taken next to make it work? I think I should register a SDP service record, but I'm not sure if Android Bluetooth API has support for this.
I was wondering if anyone knew of an app that could make an Android phone act as as a bluetooth receiver. The phone being a deactivated Droid ERIS I have laying around that I'm not using. What I want to be able to do is connect my laptop to the ERIS with bluetooth (laptop has bluetooth connectivity) and have my laptops audio go to the ERIS (ERIS would be plugged into a set of speakers through it's 3.5mm headphone jack). In essence, the opposite of what people usually use a phones bluetooth connectivity for. Anyone know of an app that can do this?
I wanted to test a sample Bluetooth application in android emulator, then i come to know that the android emulator does not have bluetooth support.I read some thing connect external USB Bluetooth dongle to the Mechine and bridge that dongle to android emulator. But they didn't provided the steps. Now i plugged the USB Bluetooth dongle to my System and i do not how to bridge that with android emulator. Is there any way to do this?.
what i was thinking, was, does anyone make like a little "mini phone" that works over blue tooth?i was thinking something like that would be cool to have. leave your big x in the dock when you in the car, or on your desk, or somewhere out of harms way when you go to work, and just carry you "mini phone" with you in your pocket. make calls, and etc from it. i was thinkin something that looks like a small flip phone would be cool. have any of you guys ever seen anything like that? or think it would be useless?
I was wondering if this was happening to anyone else consistently.
Turn on Vlingo In-Car. Turn on Bluetooth headset and pair it w/ your phone. Make a phone call and then hang up. TURN OFF YOUR BLUETOOTH HEADSET.
WHen I do that, my phone RESETS. I think it's only w/ Vlingo in car on, regular bluetooth doesn't do that. (ALTHOUGH, my phone resets if I use gps, charge, use bluetooth, and talk at the same time....) Let me know if it's only an Incredible thing, or HTC thing, or all android thing...
I want to install a Bluetooth Application over my G1 device in linux environment. Please any Body provide me the procedure for this ? Whenever i am installing the application following error was thrown:-
I connect my GNex via MHL to my TV. I also have a Nexus 7. Is there any possible way to use my N7 as a remote control/bluetooth keyboard to control my GNex? Run a VNC Server on the phone and a VNC Viewer on the tablet, but this is laggy.
I am a new SE user and am still getting to grips with using the phone's features. Could anyone advise how to transfer a call from a headset back to the phone and phone to headset? Whilst I am asking inane questions, is it possible to use the phone i.e. return to menu when in a call?
Can anyone recommend a Bluetooth device (with a FM transmitter) so that I can make/receive calls and stream Pandora through my car stereo speakers? Is Motorokr t505 any good? Are there better alternatives to this?
