Android :: Blacklist Calls

Jul 14, 2010

Is there a blacklist app that allows me to simply reject (either by picking up and hanging up, or by saying the number is disconnected) numbers that I specify. I used an app called iblacklist on my iphone and it works wonders for this. I was wondering if there is something in the market that functions the same as this. iblacklist also removes the calls from the recent calls list, that would be useful but not very important.

Motorola Droid :: Blacklist Number When Recieving Incoming Calls

Oct 13, 2010

When recieving incoming calls message on screen when call is showing on device screen it shows system message : ["blacklisted incoming number"] {not exact message, but similiar...}. This is happened a couple of times so it is not a fluke. The calls work at first, but after this you cant recieve calls from that number. There is no setting or list to remove or edit the blacklist "feature".

Samsung I7500 :: Built-in Blacklist

Oct 11, 2010

A friend called me and i rejected the call since i was busy, later when i unlocked the screen a pop-up kinda window was there with 3 options and a title saying Unlisted contact number, the options were : Blaclist number, deal with it later(or something like that) and dont show this again. From mistake i pushed blacklist. Where are the blacklist setting in DOnut(galaxo), i cant find them, i know in froto u can find them somewhere in call settings, in galaxo there isnt any.

This happend now, i`m charging the phone on my laptop, and when i removed the usb cable the music started playing, but the screen didnt showed anything or the notification bar,it wasnt even the last song i listened in music player; while the music was playing i went to music player and that started singing too, but the last song i listened, both songs were playin, i stopped the player and the intruder music was still playin, it stopped when i dragged down the notification bar. I re-did the action a few times and it was the same, now it doesnt do it anylonger.

Android :: Caller ID Settings Based On Whitelist/blacklist

Aug 18, 2009

I wonder if there is any application which allows me to define a list of contacts that should not receive my phone number when they are called.
Or otherwise: a list of friends that may see my caller ID, everone else not.

The reason for this is easy: I use my android phone on work but I don't want all customers have my private number just because they receive a call from my mobile phone.

I tried adding *31# before a contacts phone number which actually works, it disables the caller ID for the next call, but incoming numbers don't match the deposited phone number in the phonebook so I can't see who's calling I just see a number.

Is there a solution to my problem? If there isn't an automatic way to do this, maybe there is a quick-switch application I can place on my phone: hit once to toggle caller ID on/off...

HTC EVO 4G :: Not Getting Incoming Calls

Aug 4, 2010

I have had my evo for a little over a month now and I love it, only problem is it wont accept any incoming calls anymore. At first it would accept some but now it I don't get any. I updated to froyo today hoping it might fix something but no luck. I took it to sprint a few days ago he updated it and said see if it works now if it doesn't take it to the repair shop and if they cant fix it then they will give you a new one but I don't know how you'll be able to get a new one because we don't have any. I would rather not get a new one because I got the invisible shield put on my phone and I would rather not have to waste money getting a new one/putting it on. Has anyone else heard of evos doing this or know of anything that could make this happen? Everything else works fine on the phone.

HTC Hero :: Calls Take 3 Rings To Come Through

Sep 19, 2009

Had the Hero for 3 weeks now, and love it. Much nicer than the IPhone Just one issue I have had with it. When someone phones, I tend to only have about 2 rings to answer it before it goes to voicemail. When I tested trying to phone it myself from another phone, it rang 3 times on the phone I was rinigng it from before my Hero made any sign of life. On the 4th ring the LED started flashing and on the 5th ring it started making a noise. By th 7th ring the voicemail had kicked in.Why does it take 3 rings before the phone starts doing something?It seems like its the software just taking a moment to work out whats going on. I'm running the latest ROM however it was the same on the older one too.

Android :: Record Calls

Jan 24, 2009

I would like to know whether its possible to record call in Android. If its possible then which class should be used for that purpose. I think there should be some message broadcast receiver invoked when a call is accepted and application should be started in background and record the conversation. Would like to know if this is actually possible and it it is then what classes to refer to?

One more thing if I want to send the recorded file to a server through GPRS then is there any limit in size for it to get transfer through GPRS? Small files will be transferred easily through GPRS but what about larger files? Is there any upper limit as to files of this much size can be transferred.

More importantly I want to know about the call recording function. Whether its available in Android phones as a native applicatoins or not? If its not available then can a application be written that can record all incoming and if possible outgoing calls as well.

HTC Incredible :: All Incoming Calls Through One # ?

Jul 11, 2010

Is it possible to set up a number (e.g. Google Voice or something else) and link that number to your mobile #, such that who ever calls you first dials the "proxy" number and the proxy is what directs them to you?

I ask because I have the 10 friends and family thing and I'd like to do a "one to many" by placing my proxy number on the list of numbers (so calls aren't deducted from my plan's minutes) and having certain people dial that number to get to me.

That way, the incoming number would (in theory) be the proxy number and therefore static, so that I could talk to non-Verizon people without the calls eating into my minutes.

I know one question will be: "So why not just list that phone number on your 10 friends and family list?"

Answer: Because I want a dummy proxy number so that, if I ever (i.e. can't anticipate which numbers they'll be) need to make a long call to a non-Verizon #, I can just have them dial that proxy number.

Make sense? Is this possible?

I also heard from a friend once about SIP or PBX virtual hosting to get all my calls onto VoIP through 3G or WiFi. That's something else that sounds like it works (because that person mentioned they were setting it up) and I may try if I can't do what I'm requesting above.

I found a app in the market called "screen On" where you can select to keep the screen active for different apps, and active call has been added in the latest version of this app.

I have made several calls since and not had any problems with pressing the screen with my ear/face ending or launching other apps.Try "screen On" in the market if you find the change to android different that what your used to.
